HPDE @ NJ Motorsports Park June 27 & 28
Hey guys. I am registered for this 2 day event for some HPDE (high performance driver education). It's run by www.scda1.com
Let's see who else wants to go!
I won't be in my FC (far from track worthy) but I'll be taking my handy Honda
You can do 2 days like me, or just 1 day if you like. 27 & 28th is Monday and Tuesday
You can find all the info and links to the track at www.scda1.com
Let's get some people going, it will be a blast!

I'm interested. I'll point my track buds to this thread
Looks like $295 for one day and $545 for both days, so not cheap. Lightning is on Saturday, Thunderbolt on Sunday.

Not cheap in the least, but I guess none are?
This is essentially a vacation for me. 545 + all that gas, the tolls getting there, hotel, food, my new brake pads...
BTW what brakes are recommended? I am thinking of hawk HPS. My stockers were pretty damn good considering, and obviously HPS is better. Already have my summer Dunlops

Sorry, just assumed it was a weekend. Doh. Doubt I can get the time off from work.
I'm running Endless MX72 pads, I just installed the fronts. Had the rears for about 6 months now. I had been tracking on the ET series (hawks rebadged by racing brake) and they were decent. I wasn't satisfied with their initial bite, and moved to the Endless.
If you're serious about tracking, and want to stay w/Hawks, then get the HP+. Better suited to light tracking, the HPS are street pads.
Which Dunlops? Please say the Star Specs

I find that nearly every track event is on a weekday. Figure this is the season and tracks are reserved for actual race events on weekends.
Well, I was thinking HAWK HPS because they are better than stock but still streetable. My stockers were actually really good my first ever track event. I am getting much more aggressive though so I figured something a bit better is a good idea. I looked into HP plus too but they seem a bit extreme for my level. I am still a novice and do need to make it home. I think HPS is the right choice. better than what I have, but nothing too crazy. My fronts I upgraded to a slotted rotor, but my rears are looking in bad shape (lots of grooves worn in). If I have the time I may get new rotors for the rear.
My Dunlops are the Direzza Z1 star spec supercalifragalisticsexy or whatever you are thinking of. The one with absurdly long name
Still new to all this, but getting there.
