hey ohio guys, whats up?

im going to be in town september ~20-26th for the SCCA runoffs at mid-ohio racetrack. ive never been to ohio before, so i dont know where anything is. can anyone reccomend good places to eat/chill/whatever that arent tooo far from the track?

oh-and if any of you guys have any free time, please come watch!!

I live about 25 minutes from the track. Lexington has a decent Mexican restaurant and they also have Bucks which is a good place for burgers and drinks. Bucks is where most of the mid-ohio crowd go both spectators and racers. I have a RX-7 that I bought new the year you were born! It has 69.600 miles on it. If you are racing we will cheer for you! Mansfield is also close by and has most of all the casual dining and fast food restuarants you would think of.

Damn, I forgot the runoffs were coming up soon. I'm going to try to come see them friday and saturday. You should be able to spot my car easy, it's the blue turbo FB with 2.5" straight pipe

Ill be there, most likely driving the 7. Just look for a black 2nd gen with a primer hood and big front mount.

 

I'll be there watching a friend race a shelby. My 7 (3rd Gen cash pig) is in the garage pulling a long restoration (Since December). Should be nice when it is done. Will watch for the eProd #08 car.. G-luck...

 

I'll be there with my brother-in-law's. We go every year. One of them will be working with the sound system. He comes in from Virginia region. We will probably stop by and check out the car. Good Luck! If you have a chance to walk around you should be able to spot several of the local cars. We normally park in the infield across the bridge near the trees towards the back. It is close to the facilities and has plenty of space for grilling out.

It would be cool if we could somehow "park" all the 7's in a group, haha. I will be there as well, 1994 Black FD, bright green rollcage, loud 3-rotor.

 

If we could get everyone to meet somewhere before and roll in together, we would have a good chance of parking together.

 

I do not know the times we will arrive at the track so meeting up probably won"t work for me. I do plan on parking in the infield back by trees. If you follow the road over the bridge and keep going you will see a restroom......we should be left of it in the tree clusters.

Unless it is raining then Mid-Ohio becomes Mud-Ohio and I go for firm ground. I have seen too many cars pulled out with tractors over the years!

We usually walk around but park the chairs in the esses. Good place to see the spirited racing!

If you are lucky (or unlucky) we could see rain, sleet, even snow! It is Ohio!

 

Long range forecast is for temps. in the 70's and a possibility of rain Fri, Sat & Sun.

Better bring rain tires!

 

Looks like I will be there Sunday the 25th for sure and possible Saturday afternoon as well. Hope to see some of you there. I plan to park in the infield as previously discussed.

yeah im packing for rain and sun! ill be sooo prepared LOL. unfortunatly half of my luggage is taken up by the crewshirts for everyone on the freeking team...how am i supposed to overpack like a proper woman if i dont have enough space lol

For the runnoffs the pits are all open so we will probably stop by and check out the car and wish everyone good luck on Friday.
