Question Hello Rx owners!

Hey I am new to the site and well for that fact new to Rotaries. I just recently purchased a 1988 Rx-7 Convertible Black with 97k miles for $2250 good deal? Its pretty slow the way it is. Looking to make it into the low 15s. Input would be great. Was also wondering if there any members around me in Dutchess County NY who also have FCs. Post back at me! Email=XWildHorses39X@aol.com and AIM is XWildHorses39X

I have an 88 vert also =)
first thing you should think about is this

option A) save money, do a t2 swap, thats what im saving for
or
option B)get a free flowing exhaust and a intake

just make sure you read the faq section before posting ur problems, most problems are able to be solved by reading threads in the faq and the archives

thanks i appreciate that! another swap i was thinking of was the LS1 vette engine into the FC body but then again i was also thinking of going with a carbed 302 Ford because carbed engines i wouldn't have to wire an ECU harness

thanx for the welcome! I have the tools im a mechanic working at chrysler dodge jeep dealership have done engine swaps before. was told with engine mounts the LS1 would fit easily in but now my concern comes with buying a LS1 with a T56 (eh or maybe just a 5 speed if its cheaper) and then freeing up time to do that. It will not be an easy swap but if some retards put 350s in a Chevette anything is possible!
