fwiw i had to change the jets on my carb to get it running better. i also had a vacuum leak, i believe in the base somewhere, i dont remember.

Dale, are you running a Street Port, or stock Port? What are your jet sizes if you can recall?

the oil pump went out and I think I spun a bearing

 

Is the motor pulled?...i would be more than happy to install a new motor for ya -- I actually just sold one yesterday....( i part out fd's)

now you are referring to your oil pump and not the omp (oil metering pump) that went correct?

the motor's not pulled out because it has just a little over a 1000 miles on it when the oil pump went.(not omp) I'd be grateful for some assistance if your available. I got the front plate off already..

 

I really hope you wedged a 2x4 between the bellhousing and the pressure plate.

The only 2nd gen parts I have are the leading coil which is being used, and an S4 Turbo.

Can someone post or PM me Dave Bunting's phone number. This carb trouble is pissing me off to no end right about now. I'll just have Dave work his magic. I filled up last night in NN, drove to P-town, then back to NN. 3/4 tank of gas later, I was quite pissed off and ready to be rid of it. I racked my brain for a few hours and decided that the fuel pressure was higher than it should be. Turns out I think I was right. All the gas ended up in the oil. SOB.

im happy ill be hapier when i get my struts tommorow and even happier when i get my springs

 

I just bought some too. Their sitting on the floorboard of my car. The Koni Reds are in my bedroom. Hopefully they'll be installed next week. Got the springs for $100.

And, just to repost, I really need Dave Bunting's #. I got beat by a POS Honda tonight from 60 mph. This does NOT make me very happy.
