hey sorry about that rich didn't mean to insult VA by claiming them... just letting everyone know i made it. my car runs like crap out here i ajusted my timing a little and the best 1/4 i'v gotten is 18.2 which is better than the 19.1 before i tunned it but it should be doing better than that...right? its still running rich but i work sdo much it just ain't going to happen this week.
by the way hows every thing doing jerry i'll PM you with charlie's # later (the guy that wants to talk 2 u about parts)

 

It seems that we tenatively have the stuff in place to do a seminar on doing an alignment on your car in your garage using typical home (aka inexpensive) tools. It will probably take about 2-3 hours. There is a place that has offered nice facilities, there are a couple of organizations that want to come take photos and do articles (local magazine and local web site) about the event. I would hope to have about 10-15 people interested in comming. Any takers?

I would hope this would help get the local club going a little better. If you are interested PM me and let me know if a weeknight or weekend day would work best for you.

18.2 1/4 mile?.... something is seriously wrong with your setup, despite your bad driving . But seriously you need an experienced Rotor/Holley person to take a close look at your car.

You all may not remember me, but I posted way back in the beginning of this thread. I was in Iceland at the time, but I'm back now. I live in Norfolk, near Five Points.

Anyway, being the Southeast moderator, I don't check the Northeast forum that much. Is there more stuff related to Hampton Roads than just this thread? Last time I checked, most of the stuff in this forum was more NORTH than East (New England type stuff) -- I have subscribed to this thread, so it would be easy to find. I was rather under the impression that VA should be in the SE forum, but I digress...

Anyway, when is the next meet? And don't say August 2nd, because I have a meet with my SC crew then.

I am thinking a weeknight, say maybe the 31st (I am out of town the 30th). Something like last time, Hooters or something. Newport News or Southside? Then again on the 9th or so for the alignment seminar. How does this fit with everyone else?

I think we are here because the description of the forum says VA for the NE forum.. not right I agree. I feel like I'm in the SE. Maybe I am not.. and I have been confused all these years. I personally don't like the idea of being associated with NE states like NY.

"i stalled out in first gear" -rich who has the bad driving skills??? i know theres a couple good mechs. in the area but i work the same hours they do so its pretty shity trying to get there. by the way i did find a mech to help me rig a pump to the computer to activate my 6ports so they will be opening before too long that should help some and its still running rich so i'm going to ajust that a little but still... maybe i should go holley. its running so bad i lost to a lumina even though i had him through 1st, the worst part is it was bone stock

 

Ahhh... so there is still hope, then. So you're still running F.I.? that's part of your problem right there. You need to switch to a carburator, and hunt down that Lumina or you wont be allowed back into this forum until you do!

Well, I would like to vote for sometime next week, because I will be out of town Wed and Thur of this week, as well as Sat and Sun. Both times to SC. I have to go the first time to pick up my 91 A/T, and the second time to hang out with my friends from Charleston.

How about Friday night, the 8th? Say, 7p.m? At Hooters in Norfolk? Just a thought...

Well, the time is drawing near. I know of another guy with an FB who said he can't come out until about 9, so maybe we should try for later. Say, Friday the 8th at 9:00, Hooters on Military Hwy? Or would Saturday wok out better (it wouldn't for me, but I'm hopefully not the only one showing up).
