Ok Simple get together, Thursday July 17th at 7:30 at the Hooters on Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake, VA. Anyone welcome, but aimed at all Rotary or Mazda cars and owners. PM me if you need directions or anything, it is very easy to find.

Yeah the autocross was pretty cool, if anyone wants to see any pics let me know. I wish there was more of a rotary seen there to combat the vetes. lol. If someone could send me some directions to the meet from va beach that would be cool.

 

From just about anywhere in Virginia Beach get on I-64 East, towards Chesapeake (FWIW the interstate direction is East, but the road does not always appear to be heading east).

Merge onto BATTLEFIELD BLVD via exit number 290B toward GREAT BRIDGE.

The Hooters is on the left maybe 3 miles down at 801 Battlefield Blvd. You can't miss it.

Cool to hear you enjoyed the autocross. My car is not healthy right now, or else I would have been there. I hope to have it ready for one of the events in August. I should be either at the ODR event (think it is August 3rd) or else the TSCC event at Little Creek Amphib base. If you are thinking about the TSCC event, you have to get on the access list to get there. Go here TSCC Schedule and follow the directions to get on the access list, even if you only want to watch the event. It is the best place locally to run an autocross.

Do you have the pictures online anywhere?

 

I should be able to make it but it wont be until much later (9:30 +) I'll call you Calvin when I'm on my way to make sure ya' are still there.

Don't worry, even though Phooka sits close enough to me at work 5 (ok usually no more than 3.5) days a week, I will not catch this sickness from him, even though I am going to have an empty engine compartment soon..... it is a rotary going back in there.

 

but but but.. there weren't any other rotaries to put in it... i looked everywhere, they are all being used. really!

and i had a dream.. a vision.. god told me to put a 350hp v8 in it... yah that's it..

I am going to pick up a nice 13B SE engine. I think this is the quickest way to get my car back on the road. I still need gaskets and apex seals for my car.

 

i was afraid to go into hooters.. afraid i might be assaulted by rotary type people.. can't be too careful these days..
