Do a compression check. It could be as simple as the igniter. It is pretty common for them to fail, or a wire or something. Pull plug wires one at a time and see which ones make no differance. If it is two plugs on one rotor that make no differance, then it is probably a bad apex seal or something. If it is both top plugs or both bottom plugs then it is one of the ignition systems has failed. Most likely the two bottom plugs, as the ignition for the two top plugs also run the tach and the fuel pump, so if the top plugs fail you will have no tach or fuel pump.

I do have a spare 12A sitting here that is together and runs. You can swap it in a day as opposed to taking a while to get the T2 swap done. If you rush it, it will not come out right.

Just my opinion.

Club racing is a difficult first step. I think you should do some of the HPDE events first, and I honestly think autocrossing should be the first step before that. I would recommend anyone that wants to club race to first go to every autocross you can. When you have learned the basic car control skills from an autocross, then go to a few of the track schools. When you have learned to drive on a track, then migrate to club racing. FWIW, don't put the T2 in your first gen if you are thinking about club racing. The least expesive class to get started with is the Spec RX7 which requires a basically stock 12A engine in a first gen.

Check out this site for a great entry level to club racing:

http://www.marrsrx7.com/

That is the Spec RX7 crowd that races mostly at Summit Point and some at VIR. They are a large group and a pretty good bunch of people.

My car is still for sale. I haven't had a single bite. Don't really want to part it out so I'm lowering to price to $1000 for any of you guys, hoping that the price will move it. I've got pictures of it too if anyone wants to see it. If it's not sold by the first week of June, anyone is welcome to come see it out at the autocross at Pungo.

Will can tune it for you if he's not too busy. He's in Chesapeake Va. and he had that on his 3rd gen for years.

Just won an auction for a 2nd gen leading coil. Anyone know how to hook up the 2GenDIS to the 1st gen? I'm not much of a wiring guru, basically I suck at it. Lookin for some help on this upgrade.

Heater core is right there. It's prolly leaking and the wetness is coolant.
