HAHA, anthony definately didnt hide, but his post is a lil misleading. i posted that sumerslam challange a long time ago assuming i would have had a few test days at the track to sort out the bugs with my set-up. once i realized that i wouldnt have any test time before sumerslam, i posted that we may be able to do the rematch at rotorjam.

the truth is this, i'm having an issue with the car's set-up right now. the car is having a problem getting out of the hole (obvious to anyone at the track yesterday). its the same issue that we had when i raced him the first time. this car is a daily driver and far from a race car. i'm explaning this for a lot of the forum members that might think my car gets wrenched on and tweaked everyday. the only change that was made to the car since its first test pass against anthony was the addition of a 2 step. yesterday was the first time this car has made a full quarter mile pass with this motor/turbo set-up. yes, that means only 3 full quarter mile passes total since it was built.

i just want to be clear that yesterday was not the rematch between anthony and myself, i was using the track for a test day to see what needs to be adressed on the car. by chance, anthony and i happened to be paired up for eliminations.

anyway, i'm still having fun with this and trying to find time to get the car working right. i feel the potential in this combo and am confident 10 sec passes are in the very near future. when the car is sorted out we'll have a rematch and get vids.

 

update, i just got a call from one of the partys involved in this grudge match. im not gonna say names, but it wasn't me ( it was the other guy). i was asked to post in this thread and 'dead' the rematch. now lets be clear so there is no confusion. i'm NOT saying that he's scared to race me once i get my combo right, i'm just saying that after seeing the way my car accelerates after half track he thinks it might be best if we leave his win record at 1-0 and not give me a chance to whip him.

im not promising anything, i built the car to have fun on the street. the thing with me and anthony is just added fun. i hope ppl on here dont think any of this is serious. anthony and i sit on the phone everyday and laugh about this ****. anthony was actually out with us on the street at 3 am saturday night testing my car for sunday, he also carried my C16 and tires to the track, saved me a spot in the pits and gave me full access to his trailer and tools. hes my boy, has been for 15 years and still will be after i whip his ***

 

so why exactly are you having issues with the jump? dumping the clutch at whatever rpms not working for you or something?

I only race guys that have under 650 HP anything over than that I send them Ernie's way!

We should get together before the year is over and have a shootout where we all make it to at least one event together. We did it last year, we should do it again this year.

i think the vids will show what everyone at the track saw for themselvs, my car is dead out of the hole then accelerates like a ******* rocket through the second half of the track. but ill wait for the vids

 

oh and john, anthony posted somewhere else that he wont be racing sunday. im not saying that he's ducking you or me, but when he heard that we were both gonna be racing he changed his mind

 

Hey guys in Roan's defense he has to take it easy on his car because us true daily drivers have to drive home in our cars after we race.We cant beat the **** out of our cars the way Anthony does, because we dont have a trailer to pack it up on incase something breaks...

 

Roan and I agreed if he broke he would take my trailer and I would drive my car home.

Roan launched on a 2step or on the limiter on each of his runs.

I drive my FD to and from work each day (50 miles), not because I have to but because I like driving my car. I'll even bet you I'll get better gas mileage on my "racecar" with 4x 1600's than you do on your "streetcar"! on the way to Rotorjam
