CT Great win for the Rotaries!

I just wanted to let the rotary community know that VMRC represented with great results at the Old School Toyota show!

VMRC won a combined 11 trophies including the most coveted Best of Show!

Our members Gus, Pito, Chiqui, Misael, and Jerry took home the trophies.

The competition was fierce there was alot of great cars in top notch condition!

The rotary community should be proud of these individuals who labored endlessly in getting their cars to show winning condition. We should also be very proud of our members and non-members who attended this event. History was made on August 17 not just for the rotary community, but the old school community as well. There was an enormous amount of cars of different makes Toyota, Mazda, Datsun, etc...piston and rotaries.

VMRC was honored to participate in this historic event.

Thanks to all of our VMRC members who came to this event, our friends, future members, future friends, OSTC, Elm City, Team Toyminator, NY Rollas, La Fiebre, etc...

We also thank our families who put up with our love for cars.

Thanks for supporting us and thanks OSTC for putting up a great event!

Here are some pictures…video coming soon!

There were alot of nice cars there at the event if you missed it I feel sorry for you VMRC rolled deep as we should took home more trophies than any other car club and were EXTREMELY OUTNUMBERED by Toyotas, Datsuns and others but we held together and I have nevern been more proud of being a part of this organization. OSTC threw a great show and I want to thank them for giving us some Mazda catagories and also for fighting with us to Kepp the Old School Community Alive.

Congrats to all the winners of the show and thanks to the OSTC for throwing a great show.It just keeps getting bigger and better every year.To all you guys/gals that missed the show theres always next year,so that give you enough time to get your car together and compete for next year show.I know there are alot more old school ride out here in CT so we need to get them out of the garages/driveways and come down and represent the old school.

Yes, that Green Rx-3 is sick! Gus won Best of Show with that Rx-3 the engine compartment has bling on top of bling.

Gus is also in one of the episodes of My Classic Car! The epsiode was filmed at Orange, Connecticut for the Pyramid Shriners’ Car Show! Thanks Gus for putting old school rotaries on the map. The episode aired on July 6th, but it will run again on December 28. Dont miss it!

i have to agree on that rx3 and pretty much all of the cars at the show. i drove a total of 2 hours round trip just to hit this show for 45 mins and it was worth it.
i spent 3 hours putting my car back together sunday morning and was on my way to the show in the fd when an unexpected suspension issue made me turn back to get the daily driver.

i had a wedding at 5 pm that evening and at 2pm still decided to drive up to the show.

all i can say is those ct cats dont play. some of those old corollas and mazdas looked like they just rolled off the assembly line. i cant even imagine driving clasic cars that are that clean.

great show guys, hopefully next time i'll actually have time to actually talk to ppl and meet some of the vmrc guys.

Wow, thanks for coming by. Thats too bad you had car trouble, but I have to give you props for having the dedication to make it no matter what.

Actually we had a couple of VMRC meets there in the same spot. Its just getting all the rotor heads to participate in our meets, but I know it takes time to get the word out. We just started this club in Feb. of this year. The Toyota clubs car show is in its 6th year, So we have alot of work to do to get it at that level.

We can probably have another meet at that location in Sep. - Oct. to see who is really interested in making an all rotor event. I can make a new thread to gather peoples interest. Let us know what you think. Thanks
