---Great Front License Plate Mount Idea---

While this will not work for R1's or any 7 with dual oil coolers, this should work for most other people that must have a front license plate. I used two, 2" L brackets to make this fit. What does everyone think?

It looks good but if I remember correctly you are blocking the air flow that cools the break rotor. I am not positive though.

well im not posotive either but if that were true than the driverside break rotor doesn't get any air cooling because of the duckt for the oil cooler.... but i could be wrong

You can actually use the stock bracket that is used to mount the plate above the radiator opening and mount it under the front bumper where the lip would bolt in. It actually lines up with two of the holes i think and sits exactly like that. Had mine like that for a while and then just ended up drilling into my bumper.

I don't run one. The bracket broke, and I don't feel like buying another one just to scratch up my front bumper. Money wise, I've only gotten a warning in the 5 years I've neglected to run it. I guess you could get more tickets if you drove more like an *** or some such. But a 40 dollar fine vs: repaint/fixing a bumper from a broken tag bracket... yeah.

some states its perfectly legal to have the plate in the front window instead of on the front bumper. look it up for where you are at.

That may be legal but its a very bad idea. I wouldn't want a plate getting tossed around the car during an accident.
