Basically I'm going to be buying a car from a dealership in town and figured judging by the amount and quality of mods that were previously on the car the owner is probably on the forum seeing as how it's one of the biggest 7 forums in the country. I'm just trying to find out if the previous owner still has any parts that they removed and if there's anything they think I might like to know about the car?

Car was traded in sometime in the last few months I'd assume because it's not at auction yet. It's a 94 Montego Blue Touring has 92xxx mi on the chassis. Only mods left are HKS turbo timer, HKS fan controller, TEIN coils, digital boost, A/F and Oil pressure gauges on the A-pillar. Motor was rebuilt 8k ago at Mazda Direct. Anybody know who this was??

I highly doubt anyone on this forum would have traded in their FD... because they would know how much it's actually worth and how much the dealer would be ripping them off.

That's a really good deal you're getting. $10,997 for a '94 with a rebuilt engine and mods. The last time I looked Germain had it listed for $17,000 I think. It might not hurt to have a compression check done just to be sure the engine is healthy.

 

I think so as well Turns out economy is for **** and nobody buys sports cars in the winter so I figured I'd swoop on a good deal. Also, I'm paying even less than 10.9 I'm taking it to the rx7 store to have them do a compression test, check out condition of some hoses, etc. to make sure i'm not getting a deal because it's about to need 5k of work but i looked at it myself for a good hour and drove it. sequential turbo system is operating properly, trans is smooth, interior is mint and so is the body. I can't wait for some rwd TT fun
