Arrow Decent insurance in NYC

I currently have Geico along with my family but I need to get my cars on my own insurance and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a reasonably priced company they use. I would be insuring 3 cars and possible one bike, but my driving record is absolutely tragic so Im hoping for input from someone in the same boat. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Interesting. You can only drive a certain number of miles per year under classic car insurance right?

So... terrible driving record + new york + BROOKLYN = god help you...
I would say go with geico because I got a great rate but you are already on it. You have no hope.

I was with allstate, charging me $280 per month on my 08 Honda (terrible) and my driving record is perfect with no accidents or tickets. I switched to geico and I am at $130 per month. Mind you this is full coverage. When I had allstate I was at $95 per month for liability on my 87 Turbo. If you are already with geico you are probably as low as possible. This is New York. And if you are in the 5 boroughs or long island, you will pay dearly.

For rotary B-2000, you are driving an '81, which is older than 25 years old so yes, you can get classic. Unless your car is older than 25 years old, you are not getting classic insurance. I tried to ask Allstate that (when I still had them covering my '87) since it was my second car. No deal.

I have my vert and my TII under classic insurance, combined they cost me about $250 for a year.

BUT you must meet thier criteria, mainly a CLEAN driving record, and show a registered vehicle no more then 10 years old as your daily driver, they required each driver in my household to not only have a clean record, but also show a vehicle per person. This is to cut down on people using it as a everyday vehicle.

this is correct..the year is not that important...you just have to show that the car is somewhat unique and that you have another daily driver, a good driving record and I think garage or storage...its not that difficult

age restrictions as well, I think it was 25 or 27 years old for each driver in the house, I cant remember now.

I also have a Jeep CJ7 under the same policy, $70 a year to insure that.

My policy does not technically have mileage or use restrictions, some say to and from repairs or to and from shows. Mine allows for "cruising" and driving around, its just understood that you are not to be using it as a everyday vehicle or to run errands with it.

You can drive it to go get something to eat, but your not supposed to be driving it to go food shopping.

When I lived in manhattan I was shopping for insurance. Most places wanted no less than $250 a month for a 97 subaru. I simply just got insurance in florida, used my sisters address, they didnt even ask for proof. I ended up just paying 88 a month

Hmm, I guess it is possible. My agent (at the time) told me it had to be over 25. He never told me about having another younger vehicle, or mentioned anything else for that matter. Then again he sucked and I eventually dropped him like a blind roofer.
