Mike that looks like a helluva lot of fun. Was that the Porsche with the off? He really eff-d turn 3 for the rest of the session.

Your chase down with the Corvette was awesome, but I still think this is one of my favorites:

I used the car and went to Harry Grove instead... Do you have a gear-puller left over from your suspension work? I may give up on getting that re-built rear end and just do mine myself.

Nice video. Way to put the pressure on that vette. 3x the power and still can't get away from your corolla I've never run with SCCA PDX before, it looked really uncrowded on track versus what I'm used to seeing. What top speeds were you hitting down the main straight?

Yeah, she really F'd up that turn, which sucked, because it was one I was trying to work on haha. I ended up spending the next 40 minutes between runs trying to figure out why her car was leaking oil.... ended up just being both rear hydraulic engine mounts tearing, but damn, you can't see anything in the back of a 911.

I don't have a gear puller, but do have a slide hammer that would probably work.

Here is my last session with less dirt and more corvette tailing.... but my camera runs out of batteries about half way through.

Yeah, it was especially empty on Sunday since a lot of people didn't do the 2 day for some reason. That's why I stayed in the novice group, there were only about 10 of us on course. It was pretty sweet.

I was hitting about 110ish at the end of the main straight. The corolla was a bit on the slow side due to a messed up o2 sensor controller not reading right. Last time I was around 115.

The PDX was 5 20 minute sessions each day, so I got 3 hours and 20 minutes of track time over the weekend which is pretty awesome. and everyone there was pretty cool. I highly recommend coming out to one.

Never done a PDX and I'm not an SCCA member anymore but I'll think about it. SCCA was really late to the HPDE game. I started with NASA which puts on a good event. Trackdaze (original thread topic) puts on solid events and usually has 4x30 minute sessions each day which makes for a lot of seat time. Their clientele tend to have really powerful/fast cars. Usually an exotic or two, a lot of vettes, etc. I'm not a big fan of empty tracks. I get bored really fast if there's noone to chase down and overtake :P

That seems to be your excuse a lot You need to become and SCCA member again and come out to a rally-x....

I'm still a noob, so the empty track was a lot better than a train of 6 cars... I'm sure when I start tracking my FC I'll very much agree with you

I didn't realize trackdaze had 30 min sessions, that's pretty sweet. I still need to make it out to a track daze event, they never seem to align with my schedule. My brother really likes them.

<more excuses>The GVR4 is too low and too stiff for RallyX these days.</more excuses>

With your past experience and the number of events you're attending I'm sure you'll be ready for more action real soon Yea, the problem with TrackDaze is they run a lot of weekday events and few weekend ones.

Timing belt, alternator pulley, water pump, and accessory belt completed on the TDI. Time to start working on the fun cars now (until the trans blows).

Yep, stock brake hardware. I swap in Hawk DTC-60 pads up front. I keep the Porterfield R4-S pads in the back from the street. I think brakes would be the first thing I'd consider if I were making more than stock boost levels.

That makes me feel a lot better. I'm getting kind of paranoid about how the brakes on the FC are going to work on the track.

seems like my current plan of Hawk DTCs, super blue, and front brake ducts should be fine I'm not making that much more power than you...
