I don't know if you all have checked out the meet thread yet for this Saturday, but It's a slim list so far. https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/northern-va-cicis-meet-july-9th-23rd-vote-959679/

If you're planning on coming please add your name to the list.

If it ends up just being Me, Renzo, and Jorge I'll call them up and see about hitting the autocross.

I'd love to go, it just seems that the timing is bad. If you guys want to push it back to 3 or 4 you will probably get 3 more people to show.

Looks like CDC on Saturday is canceled:

With the forecast for Saturday being over 100 degree tempertures (perceived temperature of 115 degrees). We are cancelling the Saturday July 23rd AutoX.

Normally, we hold events regardless of the temperture, but are now concerned for the safety of our participants getting heat exhaustion or heat stoke.

As a result, we feel that the prudent thing is for us to cancel the event and have requested another date (to be determined) from the school.

Safety is always our biggest concern.

Sorry for any inconvience this may have caused you.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ed

yeah

I'm sad.... instead of eating ice cream to drown my sorrows I decided to buy a set of coil-overs for the FC....

on a related note, my JIC FLT-TARs are now for sale. If anyone is interested PM me.

I wish I could. The CDC event gave me a weak excuse to not go to a family member's baptism/party. Unfortunately a club meet-up rates as an even worse excuse to miss it. So I'll be doing that, and only daydreaming about rx7s.

Just tell them you're still going to CDC haha.

I'll be there. Hopefully in the FC. Need to see if topping off the Diff cures the scary noises it's making...

Sweet man! Diff noise is the perfect excuse for your next project: Upgrading to a Torsen from an FD or Miata.

hahaha, I already did that, that's the problem

I don't think the installer set the back lash correctly when he installed my FD torsen, or it could be some bad bearings in the S4 TII diff I picked up for free...

How long is the party? We'll probably be hanging out at my house a couple hours after lunch.

You can give me a call if you think you have time to get out to Woodbridge. 571-282-9537.

Another local rotary car meet has been set up in the area. Should be August 20th (rain date 8/21) Here's the thread: https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/rotary-meet-reisterstown-963162/

It is just NW of Baltimore, about 1:15 from here. Let me know who all is interested in going, maybe we can caravan.

The only local-ish thing I know about is the import revolution event over at MIR. I don't think I'll be going though.

Haha awesome, looks like we got a 7 from each gen showing up on Sat to Autocross. Are you going to bring your FC if your konis don't show up?

Can anyone recommend a shop to do a quick brake pad job up here? Or do any of you guys want to make a few extra dollars? I have a set of Hawk HPS waiting to go on my TL and can't find anyone locally who is reasonable (Firestone, Tire Kingdom, etc won't use parts not purchased through them).

Unfortunately I don't have any of my tools up here.
