That's a clean looking Montego Blue Lara. Welcome to the group! Welcome back Matt - looking forward to hearing about Germany.
Let's hope we get the Fall Drive going this year - it's been awhile. How does your October and November look Rocky? If not, that elusive picnic plan might be in order. Maybe I'll start a Fall Drive thread if I can figure out how to create a poll.

Lara - Awesome to have another local. How long have you had the FD? It sure is purrtty, I've always loved montego.
Matt - Great to see you back in one piece. Excited to hear the full description of the trip. We need to get together soon to hear about it.
Duc - It looks like you are finally going to have to clean your wheels off, otherwise Lara might take your mantel for prettiest car. Also, you are welcome to start the 'Cruise' thread I'll get to it eventually but it's really not that hard to do (stopping is though). I was thinking end of the month as long as the weather doesn't turn.

That is putting it kindly. Talk about zero details. What are the basic tickets even for? Admittance? Car show?
I wouldn't mind showing up to see some cars and but for $23 I would expect at least a schedule.
Seems like Angel Motorsports is in need of a marketing/events person. Just sayin.

The $23 tickets are for entering into the show with your vehicle, any tickets for track events/ heats are $66 a piece. Admittance to the show/events is $5 per person/spectator.

It says 10 am to 6 pm. I have a work thing from 9 to 12 but may try to get out of it to avoid the ridiculous 95-S traffic that starts around 11 am. Either that or take the back roads down after my meeting - 66-W to 29-S to 15 to 669 to Route 3 to 95, which I take often to my brother's place in Spotsylvania. Which could also make a nice drive from the Gainesville IHOP to this event if this takes place instead of the typical Shenandoah Cruise.
Anyways, I'm interested also.

I live about 15 min south of the IHOP now and that's a fairly decent local road according to my neighbor (who's a track junkie) that's been living around here his whole life.
Unfortunately I'll be in SC for some schooling so I won't be able to make it out this fall
*HOPEFULLY* come this spring I'll be able to bring an actual rotary out though!!!

So if you wanted to link a Gainesville IHOP meetup with a trip down to Dominion I would actually recommend taking a left out of the shopping center and running south down 619 (Linton Hall Rd, transitioning to Bristow Rd south of 28) until it hits Joplin Rd just before meeting back up with 234. Joplin is a nice little twisty bit of backroad that will spit you onto 95 right at Triangle and the USMC Memorial. That would give a good mix of curvy backroads as well as some opportunities for highway pulls
I'm a bit surprised the DMV allowed it. Mazda owners rule.
Did you ever get that motor in?

Cool - thanks for the tip Levi. Here's a map of your route: https://goo.gl/maps/PCajCqiMRqafcz678 I'll check it out sometime. Of course, this is what traffic looks like right now. Frickin' 95.
