Yes absolutely, there are many spots identified for "re-group." Even if some get a little happy with the throttle, we will make sure that everyone stays together.

Unren, Why not just invest in another set of stands and a Jack, all together you can get a nice set from wally mart for around $150, its a low profile jack ($100) and I think they have a set that includes other stuff! Well worth having, and just keep them safe this time, this way they don't walk away!!! :-P

I've been following the thread without voting or chiming in as my attendance is still up in the air. If the weather permits, and the forecast is looking better now, I'll probably at the least come out to meet everyone and see the cars. I won't be able to drive around all day....but maybe until 1 pm or so.

So I guess I'll wait for the final call on Saturday or so....

Rocky, you should map out a side trip to Summit Point to stop by and see the Drift Nirvana guys in action, there will be a few FD owners there, not in the 7's but rather S1x's, not to mention SPK is open as well if the weather is good...just a thought!

 

I was working on putting the engine back together, and got to the first rotor, only to find out that Atkins forgot to put in the corner seal springs. Looks like I will be taking a long lunch today to visit Malloy...Rocky I am determined to have this finished.

Duc, great to hear from you again. I was wondering if I was going to have to PM you or not Hope you can make it, if only for a little while.

If you don't need them till Saturday, Casey might be able to do a handoff at CFA on Fri and I can bring them up with me. If you are going though, can you pick up the FB fuel filter that I ordered? I can call and give them my credit card info if you want me to pre-pay it.

This is starting to sound like the Fall event and MIR, haha. I will look into it, but as of now. The plan stands. Any changes to it would require everyone to agree that the changed route is preferred. I personally could care less about seeing doriftos burning up their tires, but SPK is always tempting. It is however not my call. Everyone signed on for the trip as a cruise to hit some switchbacks and mountains. I will not change the trip unless everyone is good with it. Here is the link for the alternate route As before, We'll see who shows up and make a decision before we leave about where we are going.

 

Is it possible for anybody to carry a small gas can in their car? I am not sure if it will be needed but I do not know where the gas stations are on our route. I am still getting used to riding a bike with no fuel gauge. As it looks now there will be 3 motorcycles plus myself. I will buy gas for the person who does it.

 

I got a couple spare gas tanks around, I'll try to remember to toss one in the car. But, for all of the routes there is never more than 100 miles without a stopping point for gas.

 

I might be able to swing out with a few people from the culpeper area!

You mean at the Shell station? We can stop there to meet up with you and let anyone who wants to top off. I'd estimate we should be rolling by there at around 9:30 or so if we get started on-time.

Do you guys have a good idea of where would be a good place to eat in Front Royal? Not fast food but not expensive, something near a big parking lot where can see the cars (so soft tops and cars without functioning locks can be looked after).
