Thumbs up Crossroadonline.com End of Summer CRUISE 9/10/06

Crossroadonline.com is holding an end of summer cruise to Skyline drive this Sunday, September 10th. CR is a made of a group of great local members, many real racers from SCCA and NASA, along with those who just like to cruise and detail their rides. There is a large variety of cars. If you would like to attend check out the events thread here- http://www.crossroadforums.com/index...80049.html#new

We are going to stop for lunch at Big Meadows and will require a specific number of reserved seats, so you must add to the thread letting us know if you are going, how many people you are bringing and which location you will be meeting up with us from(Manassas or Kingstowne).

This is a cruise, not a "drive" and reckless driving will NOT be tolerated. That's not say it will be slow, there will surely be a fair amount of "spirited" driving.

Hope to see you out there!

Wrong, there is no majority of anything. Especially "old farts with Mustangs". Nice assumption though. Average age is probably 25, but it's true there are a few guys who are 40+ CR is not about the individual cars, it's about the group and passion.

Our last cruise we had two NSX's, a 350z, a Supra TT, a twin turbo Mustang, two BMW's, three sport bikes and a few other cars.

And a photoshoot at the end, with each car individually-

Well my point.... hanging out with people that have new cars and a ton of money to modify them is boring. Sorry a new Z06 is nice but its one of thousands on the road, new Mustangs ....holy crap I am already tired of the new body style...How many of them things did they sell ?
BMW's don’t get me started on them. Can you say sedan ..This is a RX7 forum

These guys that put stupid **** like gull wing doors on a C5... Someone take the keys away from them. But I guess if you own the same car as every other guy on the road you need some APC help to look different.

I find a bunch of FC's and FD's more appealing since they are projects. 12 years old at best. Engineering and design beyond the factory specs and not to brag but a FD in good condition is still one of the best looking and performing cars on the road.

Even in RED....

You make no sense....first you say...old guys with mustangs and then you say it's rich guys with new cars and thats not fun? I don't get it. Try posting something positive.

Looks like a good time to me but I doubt I'll be able to make it down.

lol, my mistake then....didn't know.

Not much goin on up here, never usually is. Funny you should ask about the tuning session...I organized it, but we forgot to tune my car. It's all good, my car is already tuned but I wanted Steve to take a look at the maps anyway. He'll be back up this way in a few months for another session if all goes well so no worries

Seriously though, it'd be cool to have some RX-7/8's for the cruise!
