Circuit Racing 2010 Etown

I'd like to attend a few circuit racing events at Etown this year.

Is anyone else interested?

I know there is a big following, did you guys attend any events in 2009 at Etown and how was it?

Thanks,

Anthony

Why don't you set up a date so we can do a big meet at the same time there.

Do they only do time trials there? How does it work basically?

I sent Etown an email asking a few questions but no response....

Also if you are doing any drifting locally again, post up and I'll come back out to see you again.

etown doesnt run the track events. usually another group does, like redline time attack etc. as far as i know. most of the events are time trials where the fastest lap wins and you get put in different classes depending on your car and mods

i don't know how much drifting i will be doing this year but i would like to do a few time trials events either at etown, lrp, or pocono

Anthony,
I am actually holding an Open Track Day, Saturday April 24 at the new $50 Million road-course of MMC. I set this event up with RX7Club in mind. This 4.1 mile track is at an exclusive members only club. Twice the size of NJ Thunderbolt, and more than twice the size of Lime Rock! I drove my FD there last year,.. AMAZING! I had my Seven up to 140mph, but the twenty or so turns were just as much fun as the four straightaways. I got some RX7s signed up already, but I would love to see more. If you have never been to a track, you have to try this, it will change your perspective! If you have been to a track, you have to check out this track. Sign up and info at.. Trackacardia.com

Street/ Drag can go, as long as it is not extreme. You dont want to go with skinnies up front. lol I thought I was building my car street/drag (mild) 450whp, w stock suspension. However, taking it on a real track changed my whole perspective. Our cars were made for the track, sure power-up the motor for the straights, but before you go skinnies, you gotta try this!! I chased a C6 Z06 for 2 miles through the turns, he couldent loose me. I know he was just waiting for the BIG back straight. What he didnt know was, so was I! The power mods made my day, I passed him!

If you have never been, the price may sound high, but my price is the lowest for this track. It's $295 for Saturday April 24. Also, I am offering registered drivers $50 back for each new driver who signs up if they mention your name. So far the average driver is only paying about $265. Other groups are charging $330-$360 for the same track but on weekdays! This track is a private club for Millionaires and Billionaires, it is bigger than NJ Thunderbolt and Lime Rock combined! There is no where in the Northeast you will get as much out of your car as you will at this event.
Also this price includes professional in-car instruction for each novice (this just got worked out, and is not even on the website yet). That costs me about $300 each. I promise, you will get more than your monies worth!

This sounds interesting to me... I read the FAQ and see that it's split up based on skill levels. Just to be sure I'd be a novice (never done this before), and i'm only out there with other novices and not 500HP professionals in corvettes right?
I saw that this is geared towards RX-7's because it's an exclusive track. Does this mean I am totally out of the picture/not allowed if I wanted to take my Civic Si?

If you are a novice, you will be in the novice group. This is not a race. This is an opportunity to learn to drive your car around an awesome track, fast! You will get pre-track instruction, and you will have a professional instructor in the car with you on the track, helping you find ways to better your laps. Experienced drivers will be grouped with other experienced drivers.
There are 2 civic Si's already signed up, BMW's, Hondas, Audi's, VW's..
I drive an RX7, and hope to see some more of them at the event. But this event is not about 7's, or any car. This event is about enjoying the thrill of real driving, and learning to do it better, in any car.
Guaranteed, it will change the way you see the road.

This sounds really amazing and a great opportunity for people looking to test out their cars on the track rather than local streets / highways (I do not condone this lol). Thanks for posting it up Anthony and JohnnyBOMB

Any registered driver is welcome to bring people.
Unregistered RX7Club guys and gals can attend, just tell them at the gate that you are with the "RX7Club".
Please remember, we want to be invited back
Come on out guys, see what you are missing!
no you dont need to be in an RX7
The track does not want this to be a "public" thing. Originally it was their intention that the public would never get in the gate, let alone on their track.
At any point in the future that may again be the case.

I now have a set of cusco coil overs and a set of stock wheels with sticky tires. I flushed the brake fluid and will get a new set of pads. If I cannot make it in time I would like to tag along and observe. If you think it's a good idea, I could bring the trailer, it's stocked with tools, jacks, stands, gas (e85), bbg grill, tent, coolers etc... I'm willing to take tires etc and help you guys out if needed.
