Bright Green FD on RT 17 south NJ

Hey everyone, just curious if the owner of a bright green FD is on this forum. Long story short, I was coming home from work the other day down RT 17 South in NJ when a rather bright right-hand drive FD passed me in the left lane. The husky looking gentleman gave me the "stink eye" as he passed which gave me a chuckle. Before I got to my exit the driver was kind enough to get behind me and fire up the thumbs down which seemed pretty odd. I was waiting for the fly-by next but no luck. Anyone know the owner? I have love for all cars so no idea why I got the thumbs down. Would have been nice to see if the car was actually quick...I would have been nice and gave you a very large jump if you wanted to

Yeah, if someone knows who the owner of that garagespec FD, the RHD one, can they point him to this thread.

Maybe next time we can get some good runs going on. Plus im curious myself why the thumbs down? FD drivers arent really like that. I know im not.

Yea, that was the car. You guys sporting some big singles under the hoods or more into the "show" side of the hobby? I run into tons of modded cars weekly on rt 17, seems like the scene is picking up even more in the area. Haven't gotten to play with any heavily modded rx7's yet though

this is surprising, why would anyone give a thumbs down?

maybe they mean they dont want to drive fast or they are having issues with their cars?

If you were looking to race a heavily modded fd ,you should of went to rx7 vs supra vs z last month .lol
Most heavily modded fd don't get to be driven daily but they are out there .
And as for me I'm rocking a 99 spec twins ,and I have another spare ,so I won't be going single anytime soon .lol
Plus I drive my fd almost everyday
But if u really wanna race ill have my team member with a single to race yah .

I wouldn't take it to seriously. Sometimes you just gotta bust *****. There is a meet that goes on at tuesday nights. Rx7s and Rx8s. You should stop by. They meet up at the Starbucks in East Rutherford. That or the one in Edgewater.

Certainly always up for a little cruising and a few fun highway pulls
Are there a lot of rx7's in the Bergen County area?
I daily drive the vette so always around the area. A few buddies and I usually head over to whiskey cafe on saturdays and have a decent cruise in(single turbo supra, gt500, challenger, ls3 c6, supercharged silverado SS, 03 cobra, single turbo z06, and a few others). If anyone wants to meet up and swing over they are more than welcome. I usually snag a beer over at the rt 17 hooters then make the way over to the car show. 1QWIK7 always says he's going to come, but he has more excuses than a cheating spouse. Maybe if some more 7's come he will come out of hibernation himself.

Its been Zimbabwe hot lately greg. Who wants to drive around in that weather? Even though whiskey is literally 2 miles away. Lol.

Im not anti v8. I bought a v8 car just to go fast

But I still love the fd so im keeping that as well.

Ill be there this sat in either car weather permitting.

No hate at all, civil servants are OK in my book! Hell, I almost became one. As for the thumbs down, that's water under the bridge. Any rx7's want to do some cruising in the area and hit up the whiskey show I'm always available. I enjoy seeing other people with the passion and hobby so please don't take any of my posts as bashing because anything quick and done right is fine in my book

TEAM REGIMENT ZERO needs to take a regular vitamin regimen , lemon head has an identity crisis ... too much lime (doors), better change your name to TEAM 7UP (appropriate), or wait.. you're not the real thing, better make it TEAM SPRITE.

whut whutttt bring the haterade!

<3 you ted.
