The last Fudds meet of the summer? It really isn't that late in the year. However, I will attempt to be there!

putting a starter on an FC (or most likely any rwd car) takes 2 seconds. but yes, you can bring that but only if it's just as muddy and the seats are spotless just like in the picture
You've obviously never worked on a 4.6 Crown Vic
It's not putting the starter on the car that's hard, it's pushing the car up the hill into the garage that will be the hard part. I bought a portable AC unit for the garage, so I'll be damned if I'm gonna work on the car out in the street when it's 100 degrees outside even for 2 seconds

MKIII Supra: (two U-joints, four feet of extensions)
Some BMWs: (five feet of extensions, one U-joint, + 3 different sizes of reverse torx head bolts. Starter is ON TOP of the engine)
Chrysler Crossfire: Break the old starter off, dip the new one in epoxy and stick it on somewhere around where you broke the old one off. (Ok, maybe I'm kidding about this one)
BOUGHT?! It was free!

I still find it funny that that's not a hack way to do it but the community recognized way to do it.
I may or may not be there as I'm moving that week and will be busy getting packed.
I haven't installed that one yet, because I haven't figured out where to put it, because it's friggin huge and I can't even lift it, so the other day I went and picked up a portable one from home depot. Unfortunately, it doesn't cool very well (I didn't expect central AC power, but bringing the temp down 2 degrees in 3 hours is pretty weak).
Point taken... now compare it to how the "Maryland meet" thread turned out

Luckily you can kinda move it around. If you put a tool tray on top of it and just walked around with it next to you it works great
Seriously it's better then getting eaten by mesquitos and sweatin' worse then a sauna.
Biggest problem seems to be the plastic exhaust hose isn't insulated, so it doesn't really cool very well if you stretch the hose out - I noticed there was a TON of heat coming off that hose. I think we need to go ahead and install that window unit.
