Baltimore Area Tunning Shops

Hey im new to the FD comunity. Ijust bought a 93 twin with a pf intercooler, pf exhaust, M2 intke box and 99 spec turbos. everthing was installed by peter farral 3k ago on a 13k rebuild. As soon as i got the car i found out (from reading on here) that te idle point shouldnt be normal at 1300 rpm so just to round up all the loose ends ive decided to change out the ecu. I want to go with the power fc with a pre tuned map from rx7store.net to spend less time on the dyno.

Where are some respectable shops for tunning our cars in the MD, VA, PA, an NJ area?

Also should getting a fully tuned ecu fix this problem?

Thanks everyone

Take a look at the "Steve Kan tuning session 19 Nov" in the Northeast forum. In my opinion, if you are looking to get your car tuned, Steve Kan is the man for the job. Tuning will be held in Delaware, so it shouldn't be too far from you. You need to contact Scrub if you want to get tuned...

Both pieces of advice are good. Pick one

PS: Even though you're new, you should a) search, and b) post in the appropriate section. We have a regional section, w/ a NorthEast regional subsection, including all the states you mentioned. In fact, in that section, there's a sticky up top listing ALL of the mechanics in that region.

In case you don't know...Steve Kan, who's doing the tuning session in Delaware, is arguably one of the best - if not the best - RX7 tuner in the nation.

Im just south of Waldorf in St. Marys County. Have you all ever been to the Burlington on Wednesday nights? Ive never been but I hear a bunch of people meet up there. If you all ever wanna meet up that would be great bc I could really use some in-person info on our cars.

That's mainly a ricer hang, no 7's there at all really. You could go to the MSCW meeting the first wed. of the month out at tyson's. Or Dave (FD3Boost) and I can meet ya sometime for a beer or margarita in Waldorf.
