NY Apexi PFC Tuner in *NYC* - T78 on 93 RX7

Hi,

Looking to Tune my 93 RX7 with a T78. Car currently has stock Fuel setup. I will eventually get bigger fuel injectors but would like someone to tune the current Apexi PFC. Car is running and drivable. Would not want the car to lean out at current state.

NYC/Long Island recommended Tuner. PM or POST. Thank you for your time.

Lawrence.

Woah I was just looking for a tuner. I was going to go to JPR to get DemK to tune it but hes not around often. Maybe I'll give enzo a shot.

Having said that, how many people can actual vouch for the guys after having their car tuned by them?

Enzo is mentioned in the tuner thread but its not backed up by much.

I can vouch for Enzo, he is a very good tuner and goes through it all. My car is running the best it's ever ran. I will be going back for a high boost tune soon.

Does waynespeed also tune Apexi? It doesnt seem like it.

I'll definitely check out enzo then. Im not looking to increase boost, just tune the car for stability and reliability under stock boost conditions. Hopefully they can help me out.

I have an FC with a microtech, but I see plenty of FDs with Apexis in them when I go to Joe's shop out in Elmont. Not exactly in NYC but a quick drive, and you can get home by taking a bus to the subway.

He doesn't have one on site, but I know he has access to one because he dynoed my car and gave me the sheet.

I agree with you. I picked up the car with this setup and it was running on a base map. Instead of letting it lean out while driving it once a week I want to make sure it's safe while seeking the correct fuel setup.

Thank you all, i had Tony tuned it and he's help me limit my boost and dumped in a good amount of fuel for the time being.

You're kidding right?? DRT is the best tuner...wow. My friend had his Talon dyno tuned there and made 280whp and the car ran like crap. When we brought the car back the NEXT DAY they didnt wanna retune it or give him a lower price on a second tune. We then took the Talon to a DSM spot in CT where the car made 320whp and runs perfect now. Never had a problem ever again.

I honestly wouldn't waste the money tuning the car in that state unless you have no other option. At the minimum, I would drop in a supra tt pump and 1300cc injectors. I prefer top feed 2ndaries to the enlarged injectors, so 1680s would be better. Give me a call at the shop and I'll take care of you. If I don't answer tomorrow give me a day as I am doing some major revamping of the shop and had to move the phone/computer today to paint. Should be back up tomorrow. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about Enzo. He tuned one of my customer's cars a while back and it made some good numbers.

I know Ralphy there. I've watched him tune two Supra's back to back, one making 700whp and another just shy of 800whp. He's very very good at tuning. I'll agree there's some strange people that go in and out of there but they build some nasty cars. I don't have any feedback about him tuning any rotaries but I wouldn't chance it. Bring it to a competent rotary tuner.
