Question Anyone work for AT&T Wireless? Or have a hookup?

Anyone have a hookup w/ AT&T Wireless? I have an ooooold plan that I'm still on (a month-to-month now; no contract) that AT&T can't beat (I got it on an old Foundation plan + with a hookup I had back in the day, who threw in extra minutes & features etc). I'd like to migrate to the new network plans without having to pay extra to keep the features I already have. Can anyone hook a brotha up?

Thanks,
~Ramy

Good luck. If you find someone, pass 'em my way. I'm in the same boat. I dug around on howardforums.com and got the sense that this just never happens. You're always stuck paying the greater rate..

Good luck.

I know for a fact that it CAN be done, because I already had it done once. I got the base plan, unlimited nights and weekends from 7, and on top of the 550 base minutes I had, they threw in 200 additional minutes, then another 50 on top of that. So I ended up w/ a RIDICULOUS amount of minutes (800 a month) with free long distance included...and this is back in 1999 mind you, for $49.99 a month. And I have free mobile to mobile too. The ONLY thing I don't have is rollover, which is pointless for me as it is, as I go over my 800 anyway. Not bad at all, eh?

Ahh, I got it. They won't do high speed data with the legacy AT&T customers, just EDGE.. and I have unlimited data on an old plan for an unbeatable price. They have been reluctant to just let me trade my blue sim for an orange one without tacking on a higher rate. I guess I will continue to wait it out..

I know a high representative here in New York... Though I believe that you will be grandfathered into the network with that plan. They cannot make go onto another plan. They can possibly tell you to choose one but as long as you don't sign anything the ball's in your court. I'll talk to him tomorrow if I get the chance.

Actually, IIRC, there was a big fuss b/c several of the $99/month unlimited plan guys were forced into a different plan, because clauses on their original contract indicated the plan was subject to change and/or limited time (for 1 - 2 years) or something to that effect.

I'll talk to him tomorrow if I get the chance.
Awesome! Thanks! I'm pretty sure he'll get a bonus/commission for me signing a new contract, so hopefully that'll be incentive for him

^ You do bring into the picture the "special circumstances" factor. Big plans as the unlimited ones must have some sort of disclosure or backup for their case... I'm so forgetful as I have a big week ahead of me. I hope I don't let you down!

Also Ramy, I'm in the market for a dual RE Amemya steering column gauge pod. Where can I get one here and or how much do you want

Well, my problem's been solved. MINUTES after Verizon Wireless announced their $99.99 unlimited plan, AT&T announced they're bringing back the $99.99 plan as of Feb. 22

I had that $99 plan 10 years ago, I think it killed them.

I find them to be very receptive to working with you to keep you as a customer, there is alot of competition out there and the fact you can take your number with you now makes them work harder to keep you as a customer.

They always send me free phones, change my plan whenever I want, etc...
I have been with them since the early 90's.
