Anyone in DC area needs parts? Scrapyard announcement.

As of today, there are three RX-7's at Crazy Rays in Jessup.

There are two FB's. Both S3's.

1984 GSL is Silver (Paint code K3, Sunbeam Silver Metallic) with Maroon interior. No engine or trans. Also no rear bumper skin. It has a steel sunroof.

1985 GS is Light Blue (Paint code V3, Tender Blue Metallic) with Grey interior. No alternator.

There is one FC.

I forget the year, but it's an S5. No tail lights, No ECU, No engine, Automatic transmission. It's a GXL, auto adjusting suspension is intact. Interior is Maroon I believe. Body WAS silver and was resprayed (decent job of it) Purple. The A/C was charged when I pulled the hoses off, I believe the compressor is good. It's sitting on the passenger floor. Hood destroyed.

Maybe keep this a rolling thread for future use?

On the 2nd gen? Yes. I said it's a GXL.

On the first gens, Yes, I said they're a GS and GSL.

Each of those came with electric mirrors standard.

Talk to Big Pimpin as well. He has an aluminum hood that you're looking for.

GS = no power mirrors... at least mine doesn't have them nor any provisions for them. Just the GSL and -SE did...

And I'm a little hurt... :tears: I posted this already https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/21-oct-crazy-rays-report-jessup-589504/ and you tell others to search... PHSSSHHH.

Joking. That silver one is it pretty good shape... I'm thinking I may get some parts from it just for the sake of them not going to waste.

I just request that who ever is in the 'yard and they spot teh 7's to report your finds so the vultures (raises hand) can pick the carcass.

What year is yours? S3's have them, and all S3's have provisions for them.

It's how to tell the difference between an S and GS. And it'd have cost Mazda too much to stock two different types of wiring harnesses.

My 1985 GS has power mirrrors. I HATE leaning over to adjust the passenger mirror.

I'm considering the doors and fenders on the silver one. I might need lots of spares for Spec7 next season.

There is a S3 in the junkyard in Cecil county on Route 40. Nice body and interior but motor less. Plan on going back to pick up an extra rim for my autox tires. Yeah man we need to start some junkyard findings thread to help keep our cars on the road. Just this year I noticed not to many SA/FB's showing up in the boneyards. This scares me! Our cars aren't a "dime a dozen" no more! Yep yep!

Hmmm, mine is an '85 and maybe it is (was) and S model. I remember now that when I got it, it didn't even have the dead pedal.

Got a white/blue interior 87 at " Crazy Bryan's" that's headed to Crazy Ray's this week. Avoid the dollar entry fee and get it here first!

I'm calling Crazy Ray's in the morning to come get this car out of my way. So they'll be a white 87 to pick off of by this weekend! Gotta make space for the 'vert and the M3 to hibernate for the winter.
