Any good honda guys/shops around here?

Yeah, just picked up a 2000 honda civic SI and i was wondering what are some good honda guys i can go to? No i wont go to a dealer or a normal DIY joe shop. I need a honda guy thats been in the honda cars for a WHILE. I prefer guys that have drag hondas that they take to the track so i know they have experience. The car is a bit modded, I/H/E, ignition, cams, cam gears and i might wanna do a supercharger upgrade soon.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Ulost2, look for a team called Agressive, they build good hondas in NJ. But when having a shop help you build a car its always good to do your own research as to what parts/mods to purchase to make your goals. Just about all my local friends have hondas/acuras. If you need help just PMME or IMME on aim/aol, i'm not an expert but I know what does make power and works. As for the supercharger I would do turbo or Nos or both, I dont like superchargers at all. Superchargers for hondas are to restrictive for the amount of $ invested. Best thing to do is figure out how much power or how fast you want your car to go in the 1/4. Then from there we can get into details, also do keep in mind building a honda to make healthy power is expensive. If you want to make 400+ hp out of a b-series motor your best bet is to have the block sleeved, and you might aswell bore it out. Build it right the first time and it'll last with good tuning..

Who is this comment made too? Why type bad about hondas, when I know for a fact within my lil circle we have 2 N/A hondas and 2 turbo hondas that will leave you. If you don't believe me we can lock it up $$. If you have nothing to contribute to the thread why bother posting?

I agree.

Im actually looking towards superchargers for the low end ummphh lol. I dont want a turbo cause ill end up wanting more power when i feel it. Then ill go crazy with this car and i dont want to do that. I want it relatively quick while still be reliable cause its gonna be my daily driver. I dont want to put a 5 inch rocket exhaust on this car, i rather keep it stock. or at least a high flow with the stock catback. Maybe 200-225hp is my goal. My car comes 160 stock and i have a couple of bolt ons so i think my goal isnt that hard.

There is nothing wrong with hondas. I sorta think its dumb that we (not me though) are like every other car enthusiasts out there. We only like "our" car and thats it. Anything else is garbage when in fact its not. I understand its all opinion but its annoying to see other people comment on other cars that people own. I love my rx7 to death but damn its not the greatest car in the world. I think i was as happy getting this civic SI as when i got my FD the first time. You really have to be open minded otherwise you'll miss alot of great things in life.

And you're right, i havent been much at any meets. Only meets i go to is etown which is couple times a year. I been really busy with work, personal issues and right now, since my car is acting up, car issues. But i dont care about rumors as they are just rumors. I know what i got, i know what i can get and what i like and thats all that matters.
