I'd help, but the only thing I know how to do with rotaries is take them completely out and replace them with V8's

My Engine removal tools: Cherry picker, Sawzall, 4 foot long crowbar. Sockets OR plasma cutter.)

4 easy steps.

Step 1. lift front of car with cherry picker
Step 2. Unbolt transmission, starter and engine mounts (substitue with plasma cutter if sockets unavail.)
Step 3. Sawzall off pretty much everything surrounding the engine. Remeber your safety eyewear, as fluids will fly everywhere and blind you.
Step 4. keep cranking on the cherry picker untill the motor seperates violently (I stress violently for dramatic effect here) preferrably flying uncontrollably into the air. Use crow bar if neccessary

PS: I hope you didn't want to put it back in.

we don't really drive at all just eat and stand in the parking lot and talk... if your car isn't ready you can just come without it like I have for the past like 3 meets

it's a non-turbo motor coming out, but a turbo'd motor is going in. I still want to do the 20b, but now I'm thinking in the way of a 13b renisis, due to the low mounting design. Not 100% sure yet, which route I'm going to take, cause here's my choices. Fully built 20b, with race tranny, stronger axles, and different rear end, about 35,000, but we're talking between 600 rwhp on low boost and pump gas, and 950 rwhp high boost and race gas. 13b renisis, not sure how well the motor handles boost, but it could seriously be interesting. Maybe lightend rotors, greddy turbo kit, 3 mm racing apex seal, some "fine tuning" of the computer, light weight fly wheels, high perf clutch, lightend essentric shaft, and see what a Renisis is capable of, oh don't forget the FC's lighter then the 8 so that helps out too.

Anyways back to the subject at hand, I'm looking forward to this meet, hopefully the weather will be really nice.

The chance of my car being there is dependent on F1blue giving me his number and how fast I can swap the engine and/or rebuild...(normally a week llong job)

Your talking about a drag car at that point. You might as well take the car to a fabricator and give them your check book.

I think a more practical, and in the end, a more enjoyable streetable car, would be a 20b with stock twins, or a medium sized (read: streetable) turbo, with a widebody kit, and some deep dish rims. And that doesn't have to cost you 35k either. I'd imagine you could do that for about 20k.

It really depends on what your goals are, and how many people you know that have the skills to do what you need done.

Car's in the paint booth now getting the engine bay and jams sprayed.
