Nghtstlkr7, I'm sorry, but you straight up lucked out. We have crazy emissions guys (not as bad as Cali, but similar), we have crazy traffic WORSE than Cali, we have crazy gas prices (similar to Cali), and we have crazy real estate prices like Cali. You pretty much escaped to the wrong area

Damn son. Where'd you fill up at? Sounds like it's time to get the 4% off Sunoco Gas Mastercard I have it, and they apply the rebate EVERY month... I've gotten $190 back from them so far!

I saw 2.75/gallon in Glen Echo on my way to work.

Sure glad I bought that Prius. Pat, you better sell those seats to me and buy a hybrid instead :-)

Yeah, I just paid 2.89 on Tuesday...Decided to be off boost as much as possible. It took 36.50 to fill up and even then it was about 12 gallons.

Gas prices are crazy now.. But as far as our traffic is concerned, its def not as bad as LA rush hour traffic.

I had one of those...it's not really 5%. It's 2% on purchases at small independent stores (not chains), 2% in interest generated, and 1% on everything else. That blows IMO. I pay my card in full at the end of every month (there goes 2%) and almost never shop at small independent shops (down another 2%). And the fact that sooo many places don't accept Amex, well...it wasn't worth the hassle for 1% cash back.

Universal Card (from AT&T) gives 3% cash back on EVERYTHING (gas, grocieries, bills, etc etc) which is what I use for every day purchases. For gas, I stick w/ the Sunoco card, because it's 4% back EVERY month, including purchases at the Sunoco quicky-marts.

It takes about $80 to fill my V-10 Excursion. Ask me if I care about your measly $50 bill. Ha.
