A few more nice low mileage ones on eBay, cars.com, and autotrader. Most under 25k miles. They are mostly baseour touring eeditions with an occasional R1. All in the mid $20s and up. There are a few left in primo condition . It's sad to see the ones so modded that they blow up in six months and after all the $$$ spent could have bought a great unmolested one that will last a long time for the same amount. These cars were beautifully made just as is. The perfect balance of weight, shape, go, tourqe, and balance (form and function). Too bad many don't see that.

It depends on what you plan on doing with it. I use it on the weekends with an occasional weekday romp. I don't race or beat on it. To me, the form and function fits. The shape is timeless, just beautiful. If you want max performance with all it can, then I agree with what you mentioned above.

While in this area it is valid that there are many people who simply don't care and if, for whatever reason, have a fetish for 90's sports cars, would pay that much for them. I would like to know how much fun they have rebuilding the drive train and fuel system 5k miles later because they 1. likely don't know how to treat the cars 2. all the seals are dry rotted to hell and back from disuse/age and sitting with ethanol in them.
