2008 Spring Madison Motorsports Car Show in Harrisonburg, VA!
Just wanted to let you all know:
Hey guys! This is the car club that I belong to at James Madison University. I would love to see a showing of some rotary powered cars. I know that my father with his FD is going to be there and possibly some other 7s:
The show will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 tentatively from 11am - 4pm, in the C4 lot of the JMU campus. The entrance to the lot is off of Cantrell Avenue.
There will be the following classes: Import, Domestic, Euro, Classic, Motorcycle.
There will be several new and exciting things to celebrate the return to the JMU campus. We are working on partnerships with Bob Wade Subaru, Linville Hobbies, City Motors, Mid-Atlantic Motorwerks, and others to bring their presence to our show for some new activities! There will be food, music, and trophies awarded to the winners of each category. We may even follow up the show with a scenic cruise if weather permits.
Featuring the '09 STi, Subaru show cars and perhaps the '09 Dodge Challenger!!!
So please mark your calendars and come out to support MM, show off your car or bike, hang out with car guys and motorsports enthusiasts and have an all around good time! Feel free to post up this flier and relevant information on other forums and spread the word!

Yea, deals gap is the week after our cars show....so he is not going to come down two weekends in a row unfortunately. It should be an awesome turnout this year...which it always is. We should have one of our local dealers have their race prepared M3, Subaru's new STI, free Red Bull, and plenty of girls since it is going to be on campus.

So VT and JMU are having a show on the same day?! Hmm.... I'm right in the middle, location-wise, so I'm not sure which I plan to attend!
BTW, our local club is hosting a large show in Roanoke on April 26th.... you'll see my post and flyer in the next few days.

Got your PM, i need to check my schedule for that weekend. My car isn't quite comfy enough to drive all the way to JMU so I'd have to tow it out - but I may still show - May have the wife putt out her RX8 too.

If only this was a month later.....
I'll be in China during this event but I'm headed to Ft. Lee in Petersburg at the end of April. Is it a bad thing to consider which racetracks are nearby when debating which assignment to request?
Besides, not sure my car is quite "show worthy" yet. I think it falls under ill prepared racecar or illegal barely-habitable streetcar depending on the observer.

I'd call it Japanese, Domestic, and Import (all other countries) if the goal is to keep Japanese cars separate from the rest.
All in fun. Wish i could go but sorry its too far for me.

Just got word: To specify, (sorry for not clearing it up before) if the car is not European than we are classifying it as an Import.
Come on out everyone, it will be on campus (lots of 18-22 year old females ), free redbull provided, music, detailing vendor, etc. and awesome cars

Vel and Bridgeport,
I don't think I'll be able to make it. The USPCA is holding their regional trial in West Virginia and I may be required to go. The good thing about the trial is that it will be the last one my dog is in before retirement, and I also get paid time and a half for the whole day.
I wish this meet was on a different weekend. I'd really like to take a drive to that part of VA. Especially over the mountains.
I'll let you know if anything changes.
