1st Annual ROTOR JAM on 7/13/2008
i agree about johns car, but just so we're clear here anthony, are you talking about the gsl se you sold to but your first turbo 2 THE DAY AFTER you saw me pimping my first 10th aniversary?
I will never race John, with my luck I will bog in the hole or something and never hear the end of it. Roan and I talked about it and decided not to race, it's a lot of fun to meet up with the caravan and drive down together. I really hope some guys got some pics of the caravan. Next time everyone needs to get an EZPASS lol..

Chrism I have to say that is pretty mesed up i understand you werent the only dision maker but. He worked extremely hard to get his car where it is and all the way down there, and just bc he ran in to some miss fortune, you had to exempt him from the competition? come on you guys were still judging, arent we all supposed to be friends? I would like to see how you feel in such a position like that. Exspecialy, when there was a bunch of people including myself waiting for him to show, and what were there like maybe 20 fc's total and 10-12 in the show? you couldnt jugde one more car? come on man
Just wanted to re-itterate my thanks to everyone that attended this years event. Chris M and John were CRUCIAL in the events success; and just wanted to let everyone know that they worked very hard to make me look good =8)
We are already planning next years event.

ROTARYROCKET7 you got some great pics! Thanks for a great time and I hope next year will be bigger. Hopefully I can get to another NY meet before I head to Germany.
No one chickened out. Well Anthony was scared to race me and I did call him out twice at the show. Those cars run some serious juice so to race them hard 2 hours away from home without a trailer could be a very bad mistake. They took it upon themselves to just talk trash and finish it closer to home.

hows this any different than when they ran at summer slam at etown..
Later on sometime after 4 he did a run and scored a 10.01 which was pretty awesome. I was really disappointed that none of the people from Rotor Jam took their cars over to the track for that last hour. There were a lot of cars there I wanted to see do runs.

A lot of guys were wondering if VMRC was showing up. I really wish you guys could've made it...it would've been even better. If that orchard beach meet on the 27th is still on you can count me in. I know a few old school guys that love that ****. Plus I'm only like 15 min away ;-)
Some background as to why this might be happening...
Why is there friction between VMRC and the president of CTRA and the president of NYRA? Here is some background about this CTRA stuff. In short, the former members of CTRA were under the impression that we were running the club, that every member had a say (a vote), that CTRA was separate from NYRA, and that there was no one higher than any other member. Every member was expected to do what he could for the club and was responsible for their own actions in the club.
That is what happened between CTRA and the former members of CTRA. Maybe we should have made a name that was not related to NYRA, but we wanted to be our own separate club have our own meets, and come together at NYRA events. So, we thought CTRA was fine. I could go into more details, but I want this to be short (even though it is long already).
Because of what happened between the clubs, we sat down and said, "hey they aren’t any old school rotary clubs around". We also noticed that all the people that left CTRA had old school Mazda’s. So, we made VMRC.
Why we did not attend rotor jam...
As a result, of what happened to CTRA and its former members. We decided it was not time to go to a CTRA, NYRA event. We have a few members that are not over what happened. Why? I cannot answer that. I can only speak for myself. We also wanted more time to get our club together.
I do not hate anyone in CTRA or NYRA, but I feel I was wronged after I spent allot of time and effort coming up with a logo for CTRA and making fliers for events.
Like I said before, I have no control over what members say and Chiquirx7 (the real VMRC member) likes to say what’s on his mind. I like to be more diplomatic about it and I try not to insult people, even though; I have in some instances.
Not all my views are the same as chiquirx7, but at least he tells people how he feels and he does not hide from anyone. He does not speak politics he is blunt! I like that about him because I know right from the start where he is coming from, no funny business, no beating around the bush, no surprises. He is a great guy, but rub him the wrong way and ohh well...let’s just say he is not as tolerant as I am.
Now onto the fake thread "Join the Vintage Mazda Rotary Club". That thread is now locked. This is what I posted before the thread was locked. I do not want our friend to miss out…
"We are honored that you took your time out of your life to make such an effort to fake a VMRC member account, make a photobucket account, take the time to change the logo, and post all over the rx7club.
I am not upset that an ignorant fool like you does not have the capacity to post a thread like a man and express yourself on a public forum. Instead, you hide behind your computer like a child. In fact, I feel sorry for you and I hope one day you will grow up and be what your mother always wanted you to be, a man!”
He seems to be quite upset that we did not attend rotor jam. I did not know we had a loyal fan, my apologies. You sure did waste allot of energy posting negative statements about VMRC. Maybe it would of went better if you took the time and extra energy that you had and invited us or asked a CTRA or NYRA president to invite us. That probably would have gone better for you.
Let me apologize for thread jacking, I felt the need to post because this is getting out of hand. I do not want anybody especially non-members to get hurt. We at VMRC always have our families at our meets and if something were to go down in one of those meets and a family member were to get hurt over this. All hell is going to break loose. This is a car club, not a gang!

The Orchard beach Meet is still on! Come bring your friends and family.
