***Long Island Car Cruise/BBQ - 4/27/08***
First & Foremost-I plan on doing this as a Charity Event with all proceeds going towards Cancer Research. Our official American Cancer Society event page can be found here http://main.acsevents.org/goto/LISC . Donations on that page can be made in either the "Support Long Island Subaru Club "Link"...or "Make A Gift Link"...If anyone is not comfortable donating through the ACS webpage, plase contact me. I will gladly take donations from anyone and put them into the system. Aslo!-Please contact me if you make a donation on that ACS page, if I dont know you've donated, I can't update your donation status on the list!

The event... I really want to do a Large, Organized Caravan of all the LISC weekly meet spots from Whitestone to Bald Hill. However, traffic and the "parking lot" that is Long Island wont make for a fun drive...
I'd like to propose that everyone meets at the LISC spots they regularly attend (if you want to). From these spots, the smaller groups should Caravan to our Large Breakfast Spot. This will be a far West Point of Long Island (I'm trying to get a fixed location in Whitestone, possibly at the LISC meet spot). From here, our large Caravan will kick off.
I'd like to Caravan through open roads and back roads towards the south shore; primarily, ocean parkway. This will allow us a nice stretch of road to cruise along and provides a bunch of stops on the beach for pictures and videos. From ocean parkway we should head up the Robert Moses causeway onto more backroads and work our way east. Our endpoint will be SouthHaven Park for more pictures and a LISC BBQ. Permits and food are needed so I will be taking a solid headcount on here at least 2+1/2 weeks before!!
ALL of this is pending good clear weather and what everyone think's could be best in general. Please speak up if you have input!
Details:
Date: Sunday 4/27/08 (Rain Date is the following good Sunday)
Time of Day: Approx.: 10am
Large Group Spot: Pending
Min. Donation to Ride: $10
Min. Donation to Ride & BBQ: $15
Please keep in mind this is a Charity event; lets do some good! Contact your friends and family and see if they want to "sponsor" you.
Last, and most importantly... no burnouts, speeding, racing...just a fun cruise all day.
Let me know if you're coming and I'll add you along. Please contact JB (BlackFlameCustoms) for all donations. I am not in charge of that.
