the problems:
-engine height, you can see in my engine i cut off about 10cm from LIM
-next problem, air intake temp. intercooler are to small. there no space for bigger
-too much power and torque. I have 290mm racing tires and still was to much torque
-heat from exhaust, you have to use lot of exhaust wraps
etc.

now I thinking how to repleace e-shaft + rotors for renesis rotors and make the car N/A with p-port with 200HP at the weehls. 200 will be perfect

question: I must buy new housings, fc turbo housing are cheaper than fd. they are the same ? I mean spark plug holes are in the same place ? the same timing ? someone told me they have diffierent timing

sorry for my english
That's precisely what I was thinking of! Stock twins might have been more prudent though. Still capable of 350rwhp but still retaining the response and low end of the twins. You need more rear tire! But I agree, cooking looks to be a serious challenge. You could probably mount the intake behind the engine and feed it with a NACA duct. Ever thought about a top mount IC? Where is the oil cooler mounted?

You can never have too much power/torque!

Thanks for sharing.

Crispy

I always race with no hood and nose: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-G...o/DSC04706.JPG
first are oil cooler second one intercooler last one radiator

You can never have too much power/torque!

Weight of the car are 500kg=1100lbs
so 13b-rew at 1,7bar in 500kg car it`s to much
I think power to weight ratioa are the same as 2200lbs FD3S with 1000HP
It`s realy hard to drive on a track

300wheel HP are max power in that type of cars, 200whp will be perfect
so I`m thinking about 13b-rew with rx8 rotors + shaft and make it naturaly aspirated

in the US we have the N332 turbo rotor housing, and the N318 rotor housing. the N318 and the FD have the same spark plug locations.

the N332 is different, but as long as you use a pair of the same housings, it isn't a big difference.

if you're buying new though i would opt for the late series FD housings, they tend to wear the slowest versus the early series 4 counterparts.

that is unless these are new stock parts, but there's not much way of telling if they have the superior chroming process done to them.

additionally, the tec2 is hot garbage nowadays. you will have to build and load maps and have no way of adjusting maps within the ECU, they must all be done on your computer and then loaded into the unit. that is a huge downside to this older ECU and will make learning to tune a royal pain. current ECUs all can adjust on the fly while driving, making the process much less painful.

and you can never have too much power, look at the other caterham 7's being built these days which are making in excess of 500whp while still only being 2 wheel drive and remaining competetive against some of the most expensive supercars in the world(there is absolutely no compromise for light weight, the car will grip better and be faster with less power). you just need better tires and the skill to utilize it. this is the reason why a car built 70 years ago is still being used today, even a stripped down ferrari V12 will go head to head with this light frame car while costing 100 times more.
