I was rebalance a REW assembly today and when it was done i made a small movie to show you how a RENESIS shaft works together with the REW counterweights. In the end you can see how mutch unbalance a eccentric shaft has.

+1, that answers a lot of speculation.

Cool. I built the aforementioned motor and have about 4000 miles on it including one autocross. Makes good power. My oil pressure dropped from 90psi to 84psi but I also installed a larger, thicker, longer oil cooler which was an instant 3psi drop. The rotor bearing clearances are on the large side of 3 thou but still within spec. Like 3.7 to 3.9 thou.

Nothing abnormal in the oil filters.

My oil got up to 220*F once when hauling the mail 5000rpms 5th gear in 103*F ambient for a LONG time, once I slowed down it cooled.

I did balance the rotating assembly, spins up nice and smooth.

Okay, so lets get all the facts straight so people dont have to flip back and fourth through all the pages! Everyone who wants to put an Rx8 E shaft into an S5 motor and everything older that can interchange E shafts, needs too:
-Use Rx8 front and rear stationary gears+rx8 rotor bearing
-Remove silicone seal on rear Stationary Gear
-Silicone rear stationary gear chamfer
-Dremmel rear stationary gear to the rear of the motor 2mm
-Most preferred to balance e shaft with rotors on it

Did I get it right?
Think this will make it easier for people coming to this thread!

-Use Rx8 front and rear stationary gears because they're hardened and cheaper than RB gears
-You don't need to install Rx8 rotor bearings - just check the clearance of your bearings
-Use silicone on the rear stationary gear as there is no groove to put an O-ring in there.
-Dremel rear stationary gear oil passage to match up with rear plate's oil gallery
-You don't need to balance it but it's good money spent while it's all apart.
-Use the counterweights that match the rotor set you're using. S5 rotors = S5 counterweights. Since the Rx-8 shaft is balanced to itself.
-I used S5 thrust bearing pack, S5rotors & S5 counterweights with the Rx-8 e-shaft
-Rx-8 e-shaft comes with the pilot bearing & seal installed

Well if you dont do it then you will have alots of unbalance in your engine. Look at the movie i made and you will se how mutch unbalance you get if you put S5 counter weights on a renesis shaft

Your wrong !!!
The shaft is NOT balanced to it self wich you will see in the end of the movie

true and mazda recommends used rotor bearings, per their competition catalog.

ALSO when purchasing new stat gears from mazda, they come with the bearings.

Just my logic but wouldnt it make sence that the shaft is balanced alone so that a "normal" mazda dealership would be able to change rotors without having th engine balanced.?

Also im in Denmark where are you Located in sweeden i dont believe that anybody in Denmark will be able to balance my engine do you have a website ore something?
