At idle it sounds like marbles in a paint can.
On throttle it sounds like a bushel of angry hornets.
Maybe even two bushels.

I think I hear the sound echoing off the buildings. I'd like to hear it on a deserted highway in broad daylight.

generally speaking, it's a tad loud for my tastes. however, given your engine setup, it is what it is and i'd live with it just fine. would have been nice to get pre- and post- numbers for comparison's sake.

I love the sound of it, but I would prefer it to be a little less loud, just to not make too much noise driving through the neighborhood.

I wouldn't mind it on the inside, because I'd be sound-dampening the car anyway.

PS: More videos, please.

It's a bridgey, yeah?

That makes idle noise problematic... you kinda have to run a straight through exhaust. That's tolerable on a street port because you can run 20-25 degrees of advance at idle which REALLY quiets the engine down, but with a lot of overlap the engine won't really tolerate trying to run with that much advance, runs way rough.

My half bridge idles smoothly at ~1000rpm with timing at about 0deg, but it's got the same sharp popping loudness going on. I keep thinking my next engine will be a street port because I can run a baffled muffler again.

Smile

i just wraped the header yesterday, and it has eliminated more of the echo sound, im going to wrap the rest of the pipe to the rear muffler, this coming sat, should concentrate the raspyness down alot more, i dont drive on the street much maybe 2 to 3 times a month.

more to get the fluids flowing , and maybe for a hour at most, and on highway roads only. car doesnt like traffic. it sounds like a harley davidson with straight pipes at idle.

hopefully enzo can tune it by end of the month, so we can see the numbers. i have my first son on the way due in november. so car will really sit until i can hit a track event next year, probably at etown, then pocono in pa, other than that will start her up go around the block then park her back in drive way.

Haha I love the full throttle runs and flyby with a aircraft carrier stop at the end! Sounds good and not insanely loud for only two mufflers. Great at WOT though!

I take it back, that car sounds freaking sweet. I think I could listen to it idling all day long.
