Well besides a vert you have the heaviest model NA rx-7...I would say if you are very serious about this then rebuild the engine and go with a large port..Considering the car's you will be drifting with will probably at least have 200hp and up. If you had a turbo 7 thing's would be about 10x more easy! My buddie Cris has an 87 t2 that he drift's with the same lsd you have plus full racing beat suspension. And he does pretty good!

The first thing i would do is weight reduction then maybe a port or something but keep in mind you can get the same and more performance out of a t2 for alot cheaper.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...drifting+n%2Fa Here is a good thread to read. "a drift" is the man for n/a drifting. All I can say about him is WOW! Drifting is more about skill than it is about power.

a lot cheaper. A rebuild, if you cant port and do it yourself, will be a few grand, and you will net anywhere from 20-100 hp depending on how asinine you go with the ports. Go too nuts and you are looking at needing a standalone.

Roots blower is expensive but an option, and then there is the turbo swap. For the cost of a decent rebuild and port you could swap in a turbo engine. Just a thought.
