Would you believe that I just turned down a complete 323GTX (some assembly required) with a freshly rebuilt transmission, fresh bottom end, fresh head, etc... for less than a set of rally tires would cost? NOT ONE OF BOB MARTIN'S.
I am either a realist or a complete moron.

it also has to have been the worst understeering car i've ever driven, although off pavement its AWESOME.
@20 psi of boost (on the stock ecu+injectors!) it was just as fast as my FD, until it ran out of gear.
oh and BTW finding since they only built 1500 or so of these, parts are hard!

yeah, that's why i like my AWD 5-cylinder things. The power handling limit is both the air flapper in the fuel system and the exhaust manifold, tat cuts the fun at about 300hp.
Get rid of those and the new power limit is... the distributor and the connecting rods. Those cut the fun at about 450-500hp.
Get rid of those and the power limit is finally the transmission. A bolt-in that can handle 1000hp+ is still only a few hundred bucks, not a few thousand.
So I want a 323GTX why now?

Yeah, tying everything together so maybe this thread can go to bed I just sheared the teeth off of 2nd gear. Was still on the same tank of fuel from driving home from the rallycross. Normal city driving 1-2 shift. By the time I made it home, the gears had self-clearanced to the point where the car stopped clanking and lurching and giving me carpal tunnel from holding the shifter. Just kind of made a metallic whirring noise when you had it in 2nd gear.
The site in general is rough, and there was one section on Sunday where it was easy to get air crossing a rut going downhill, if you were didn't lift like some sissy. I was getting air on every run, from what I was told So not lifting + landing = bad I guess...
