find a vacuum!!

Hi people,

Need a little help. I have insatlled a ITB kit on a 6 port FC (As can be found in my other thread). As a result of doing this i have deleted the upper inlet manifold and plenum. The 'rats nest' under the lower inlet amnifold has also gone along with the air control valve. I need to find an appropriate place to take a vacuum from for the 6th port actuators and Fuel pressure reg.

Any ideas?

Right i have traced back the hoses from the port actuators to one of the solinoids that sits under the inlet manifold. However that requires a vacuum in the first place.

So still pls help

Ive heard that the Euro 6 ports are different, but do they really open off of vacuum? This would produce little gains since you'd drop to 0 vacuum at WOT in any RPM, not just above ~3800. The American NAs all opperate their 6 ports from air pressure. The S4 from the exhaust and teh S5 from the smog pump. There should be at least 2 vac nipples on the lower manifold. You will also need one for you MAP sensor, correct?

If you follow the piping back from the actuators they lead to a solinoid. Then the solinoid goes back to the inlet plenum. So what i have done is tap a small hollow dowl into the upper inlet manifold just down draft of the throttle bodies that then feeds the solinoid that feeds the actuators. Not that different to the stock set up.

The Euro N/A doesn't have the exhaust feed. Nor does it have the inserts on the 6th ports. Intead they are closed/open with butterflies.

I have seen pictures of the butterflies for the Euro 6PI, I just never heard how they were actuated. Do you mind posting pictures up of the solenoid? If they are operated off of vacuum, hot do they not just flip open as soon as you floor it?

Yeah will get some pics up. In the pipe work there is one of those annoying little one way valves that get brittle and snap all the time. They will open a tad earlier than the stock set up but the solinoid is controlled by the ECU.
