Here are the videos. We only had the cell phone, forgot the go-pro so sound quality isnt really good But you can get the idea. Intake is a bit too much for it to handle!

So Logan extended the header and did some more tuning and the horsepower is up a few numbers to 228-229. The car runs great. Got rid of the omp so I'm now premixing.

Had the header coated at Calico and it seems to have brought down the engine bay heat quite a lot which is always a good thing.

If I had not wanted a somewhat quiet exhaust and went with an electric fan instead of the stock fan, I believe 235hp could have easily been reached. I could not be happier with this car.

I would love to ride along in this car sometime. My junk streetport vert seems quick to me and that probably has a solid 50-60 hp less than this!

.....I dont know what to say. I give up. I'll forever be the only stock GTUs around these thar parts... No HP for me! Just how Mazda planned it....
We have been PMing Red95FD... but I wasnt expecting this, Congrats man!!!

In other news I'm ******* tired of dealing with fabricators that require me to walk on egg shells around them, and wont just do as I ask... This ****-hole Houston seems to only be chock-full of ******* fabricators... Only Logan seems to have the magical touch to make Recaro Pole Positions sit perfect in an FC on stock sliders, I need his help.....

"There, your good to go"
"...My head is resting on the A-Piller... I dont think I can close the window..."
"Take it somewhere else then!!"

*Sigh*

Haha I don't know what you are talking about, my car is completely stock except for the engine and stereo. Stock i say. Just clicked 30K miles the other day.

I don't think I need to do another thing to this car. I do enjoy constantly detailing it though. I have the best looking wheel wells ever.

Nice build! ~230hp N/A has to be a blast in that car. Have you ever considered Miata trans gears for shorter ratios? I had some swapped into my GTUs trans and I love it, I'll sell it as I plan on going turbo

I didn't know that could even be done. I think I am just going to enjoy what it is for now.

It sounds and runs so good right now, I really don't want to do anything else.

It is a blast to drive. Of course it's not the thrill of a turbo car but it will roar and has a race car feel. And being in a stock GTUs just adds to the fun.

My first rx7 was an 86 GXL satin gold. So my first love was the 2nd gen. I've had a few nice ones but this is by far my favorite. It handles and looks like a new car. I am obsessed with this thing.

I might have missed it, but since this is a 13B RE, is it running a turbo transmission and rear end or NA?

I wonder how the power would change with a set of ITB's?

Its has the stock GTUs trans. Logan would have to answer the ITB question.

Can you give more details about the engine? What did you keep from the 13b re, and what else was done to change it to the na?

^^Obviously it's more than $10K, and well worth it (IMO). If I had not just recently added a new car to my garage, I would be considering it! Good luck with your auction. Sad to see that you're selling her!

I THOUGHT it looked familiar while I was reading BAT the other day. The header is a dead giveaway for DAW. But to be picky I think a 100% stock GTUs would go for more than a modded one. I would use that powerplant in something else and make that GTUs as if it came from factory and just hold onto it for another decade or two.

I found another rx7 that I am going to buy so I'm selling the GTUs for $10K. It's less than I have in the engine and exhaust so it is firm or I will just keep enjoying the car in the spring.

I agree with Fidelity, It may be worth more stock but it's more fun as is. And you just don't see these cars looking as nice as this one. Either way I don't have a decade or two to hang on to it.ha

gota say your build is sweet, but looking at the setup heat soak must be really bad, with the header extreme heat and intake sucking in hot air,
