Okay, every time I cold start my '90 vert 5 speed, the cooling fan kicks on as it revs to about 3500 for 6-10 seconds, then drops to 1500-2000 and the cooling fan kicks off, then it drops to idle and away I go without a second thought. The fan does not come on after I shut it off once warm and then start it again (like running errands around town), only at cold start. Is this normal or do I have an issue? Thanks!

 

Mine has always done that and i've never had any issues.

 

That's exactly what I've heard people say. I know the fan clutch isn't bad, I just replaced a shot one about two months ago with a tested good one. So I really don't think there's an issue. Just curious.
