20bpp dyno vid

Hey guys thought i would start a new thread for my dyno stuff so you dont have to go through the whole build and stuff again. well the car did see the dyno and made 176hp at 5000rpm with no timing on pump fuel with a TPS problem that i have not fully sorted yet. So the early signs are there just gonna try and do some ks and then lean on it a bit harder in the near future

Sounds nice. How many miles do you have on it so far? 176 @ 5000 on a dyna-pack, so thats a good 184 ft-lbs. And on a dyno-jet, it would be in the 200ft-lb range. Thats a good sign on a very rough tune! Keep up the good work

Yeah, the power will no doubt increase from full break-in alone. What type of compression are you seeing so far? I have about 800 miles on my ceramic seals, and am about to do a compression check. From the engines we've built with them, the numbers are quite good compared to stock seals. Keep us posted.

Oh yeah, if your using microtech, the throttle pumps are activated with vacuum changes, and with the p-ports it can get triggered while on full throttle. I had to turn the sensitivity of pump 2 way down to avoid this. Not sure if that is your issue, but figured I would throw that out there.

If I'm not mistaken he is using carbon seals right. They have much lower compression numbers than ceramics due to the loose tolerances needed because they expand quite a bit. I am getting about 80-90 psi on my carbons and am still breaking them in.

Bout to say!!! i know i read the other thread about the supra box but i just herd 1 gear on the dyno vid .. BTW where did you get the stuff to mount the S4/5 brakes? I got some CAD drawings from Wayno (Bowser) over at Ausrotary, apparently he built several S4/5 brake conversion kits for the rx2 but I lost the files in a PC crash.

Thanks mate, i'll be looking foward to getting that file from you... I had the file and I emailed it to a forum member over a year ago for him to run a prototype on his CNC machine but I never herd of it again. Im going to talk to a local machine shop to see if they have access to a CNC mill... Thanks
