I am stuck in Las Vegas, New Mexico. On my way to 1'st station at Edwards AFB.

Alternator died on my 1986 RX-7.

Can anyone help?

Local junkyard may have a 1st gen alternator, can I swap that one in to get on the road again?

have you called autozone, napa, pep boys, etc.. I know they have them there (the stores) and they might stock it. The alts off of the 1st gens are different and I don't think you wil be able to get it to work.
