State Emission Laws

I am looking to move out to Either Wyoming or Montana in the next year because of the Air Force and I was wondering if anyone could comment on the local emission laws. Currently I am not running emissions on my 1st gen. In WA we have the 25 yr rule where if the vehicle is 25 yr old or more..it does not need to get smog check..also are there any law enforcement cracking down on modifications or pulling people over for anything?

What are emissions? No "crackdowns" of any sort. The only things they frown on are dark tint and noise of any sort stereo exhaust etc. Even then its got to be pretty damn loud for them to notice.

I don't know about the states that you mentioned specifically, but emissions laws in Colorado are governed by county. Some require testing, some don't, and there are differences in the ones that do. It might be best for you to check the web sites for the counties that you are planning to move to and see what they say.
