Hey I have a 86 na with a t2 hood for sale. 172 on body. 60 k on motor (I was told from the guy I bought it from.) He had pulled the motor out of a Vert that got Rear ended? any way runs great no smoke. 5 speed an has a sunroof. Needs some TLC but Great for $1200 clean title.

Full-time work, fixing my FC's exhaust and suspension, racing the FC locally, maybe racing out of state, and building a dedicated FB racecar. I've also volunteered some time to help out at least three people with car repairs. Gonna be a busy summer.

 

Nice man. Sounds like you got your work cut out for you. What are you doing to the suspension and exhaust?

 

The exhaust was converted to a true-dual earlier this year. It's way too loud. I need to install a much bigger pre-silencer and have my y-pipe modified to accommodate it. The rear shocks are blown so I need to find some replacements. I've got camber-caster plates for the front, and ride height adjusters for the rear.

 

Thats cool man. I definitely know what you mean about the exhaust. I bought my car about 2 weeks ago and the only exhaust it has on it is a cracked header welded to a straight pipe that goes all the way back. It looks and sounds like hell. Really loud hell. First thing on my list for this car is get rid of that piece of **** exhaust and find a stock one because its gonna be my DD for a while.

Welcome bro. Unfortunately it looks to me like NM's been pretty dead on the rotary tip. I blame the muthafuckin economy.

 

Yup. NM rotary community seems to be pretty dead as of late. Now a days I see more ls1 fd's running around then anything else

I'm going to get my car repainted and fix my interior. If I have the money I might do the suspension. It sucks i want to take it to the track but looks like I'm going to take the 86 instead this year. I think we should have a meet this year at the road course track I don't remember the name of it but I think it would be a good place to meet up and hang out. We should really just set a day, everyone talks about it lets do it. Also if anyone knows a good paint and body guy hook me up, my car is so faded it's killing me. Also I just moved here so I don't know the area very well.

 

Have you tried a good paint cleaner and paint polish? With a few hours of work you might be able to buff out all the oxidation. Doesn't work every time, but paint cleaner and polish are cheap.

 

I'm going to have to get it painted, I had to get a new hood because my current one is jacked and I have a few paint chips that need some attention. It just really needs a new spray, and I have the money for it I just need to know of a good shop. I would do it myself but I'm still going through chemo so I can't do it. I was told I couldn't work on the car too but that isn't going to happen.

Yea I concur. A meet would be tight. As far as paint and body, I work at a dealership and we send all of our cars out to Loid's Ride's here in ABQ for bodywork. Every car that we get back from them looks ******* flawless. They're not exactly cheap though. Other than that, I don't really know too many body shops.

 

where is this track at i mean im down for a friday saturday chill spot u know. i can ride out with the wifey and get away from clovis a meet some new peeps. i mean even if we go to a 1/4 mile track and spank on some muscle cars u know.

I think it would be cool if we could all pitch in for the day and have a RX-7 day. When I lived in Germany the 7's would have a day at Nurburgring, so would the Supra guys and Skyline guys. I used to love to go to those. I also used to go the Czech Republic and rent a track for like 100 bucks for the hole day, because we had a huge Rx-7 club. Plus I was the rich guy because I had US dollars and not rubles. I think we should try to do something like that here. What do you guys think?

 

im down for whatever. i will go to the 1/4 mile track the scca track either way its a getaway to have a good time. plus we can talk rotary and hopefully start this back up here in this shitty *** state. sorry but its shitty here. i was in the new york rotary assoc, so we had meets all the time no matter what i mean if we can get something started out here where we meet in diff locations like once a month in the summer **** will b kool u kno. but we will see what happens

 

So this summer i'm working in albuquerque. I'm gonna be driving my n/a (silver, blue, red, and yellow haha) until the black T2 gets rebuilt. that should happen this summer as well. I am soooo down for a meet everyone!! Oh and I also gotta get the n/a painted!
