So after 7 months of having an FD and being a member on here I finally LOOK through the threads and find you guys! I'm in SE ABQ with a silver FD I picked up earlier this year. Actually managed to take it out to Sandia Speedway yesterday. She ran fine and I had to call it quits after just an hour (forgot motion sickness meds). On the way home, POP, one of the two upper coolant buckets exploded on me. Looks like I'll be down for a little while.

Hi Aaron. I bet you'd take the dual N1 off me...but I'm keeping it for now. After a good time out at Sandia I envision putting it on and getting a tune for the Power FC once I've done some more maintenance/minor upgrades. I'll be saving my x-mas cash for a bonez hi-flo and downpipe. BTW, I gotta find a chance to show my wife your car. She is worried MB is too dark and wouldn't look good. I try to tell her that in NM sun it'll be a nice shiny blue.

Hi Sean, PM sent. I'm hoping to actually meet more of the crowd as time and weather permit.

Outside my house:

At the pet store: (Can you guess where? Protip: We drove past it on our little meet)

Second one was taken with my phone, hence the crappy quality and green tint or whatever.

and last but not least, me having fun (being stupid). As in the description, all that distortion was actually a burnout of sorts.

Please excuse the music, not normally what i listen to but all that was on at the time.

OH! And i took apart the idiot lights in the center of the dash and cleaned it all out, swapped various components. As you can see, i now have a working clock All the various lights are working as well, at least to my knowledge. I'm not sure about some, such as oil level and whatnot, but the essentials like gate, doors, e-brake, etc. all work

She can check mine out too, It's Montego blue. When its done right (I.E. factory paint) it is one of the best colors Mazda put on the FD. Mine has not been repainted and its in great shape. It looks absolutley stunning in the sun.

So guys here's what I'm thinking... I would really like to meet everyone. And I would really like to get all of the old guys back together too, even if they don't have 7's anymore. What would everyone think about having a meet and greet cocktail/horduerve party at my place? Parking would not be an issue for all of us, my street is incredibly wide. I have a good sized house to hang in, and we won't be kicked out. We can all hang out, get to know each other, talk rotaries, look at pics (I have thousands of nothing but rotaries that I have taken personally) and eat good food and drink. And I'm think of doing it within the next month. There would be plenty of notice, so everyone would have time to plan, and I'm thinking about doing it on a Sunday. And if nobody shows up, I'll get drunk and have a good time all by my lonesome.
Thoughts?

P.S. I'm in the NE Heights, so its not like its anywhere super far away for anyone. We caould possibly even plan a small cruise then meet at the house, but since everyone would be on a time constraint, I'm thinking a little shindig this time, and a cruise in the srping when it warms up a littl.

No worries, but I'll have you up and running before then. Check your PM's. So its sounding lime we can get a few guys together anyhow. Amazingly its all fd guys so far, too! I'll have a date sorted out by hopefully tomorrow, and I'll start a thread specifically for it as well, so keep your eyes open for that.

I got a really nice camera. I'll make sure we get pics. I'm fixing to start a new thread with the date and details. Make sure you respond in there so I know how many people to plan for. If you know people that would like to come that aren't on the forum, feel free to pass along the info.
