^ oh hey, you were in bigfork a few nights ago, I thought it was yourmom23's, so now there's two of you 3rd gen guys rolling around? I've been thinking of selling my 10th ae and '87 TII to join that club too, or just selling the turbo rotaries completely and going a different route. Its funny how many looks you guys get when people see you driving around, no love for the 2nd gen's anymore haha.
SlidewayzFC3s, I might have to PM you. I got some typical cracking pieces in my 87' that I'd like to fix and a couple other interior bits like a missing ash tray for some reason. Last one grew some damn legs and took a hike.
Its funny, I have enough parts to build 2 more 13BT engines, and at least 1 more 12A, but not one interior part.
OH, might have a fully built race port 13BT engine block coming up for sale in a bit. Features an REW oil pump, S4 or S5 intake setup (your choice) 3mm apex seal rotors, a bunch of other goodies, 350hp estimated since I've got close to that using a stock port block before and she has much more umph than the stock port engine. Didn't get a chance to dyno this engine but it was tuned in meticulously starting with a richer map and tuning backwards with a wideband and datalogging. Ran 720/720 on it, wasted it at 12psi. It's map is saved on my computer (Rtek 2.1) One catch...either an oil seal went or something else popped in her. Still has perfect compression, holds all her fluids, only has about 6K miles on her, but smokes pretty bad and its not turbo seal related nor oil injection related. I'm leaning towards it being an oil seal since I'd notice a change in the compression and drivability if a rotor had cracked or something of the sort. So I pulled her out and put "old reliable" back in. I'm thinking of splitting her apart and finding out what happened, but then again I don't want to go through that process of having it opened up, then finding out what happened, and then waiting for new parts to show up. Perhaps a winter project.
I was in of all places Puyallup WA in June for a wedding and just had to pop in and see the guys over in Atkins Rotary. Cool people. Told them I had the 12A's and 13B's memorized so Josh started quizzing me on torque specs, tolerances, procedures and rotary scenarios...I passed haha
So Kalispell guys, I recently got a job with the Alert helicopter crew so I moved back up from Missoula...I left and there were at least 10 7's rolling around, now there's mine and yours. Kinda funny seeing the numbers die out so quick, don't blame the previous owners though, a rebuilt rotary engine isn't getting any cheaper, and lets be honest, you're not getting too much bang for the buck compared to other platforms.

Any good rides near Missoula
Just got my car here from the Bay Area in California, I have been here a year and have yet to find any roads that test a 3rd gen like some of we had in Berkeley hills or Oakland hills. Any suggestions on where to go find some hilly, curvy roads b4 the snows hit? Also, where are 1/4 mile drag races closest to Missoula or autocross events held? Any good tuners in Missoula area that have knowledge about these cars?

You would think there would be a ton of roads up her but the fact is most good ones are not paved. I think auto cross season is over but they have about 3 to 4 in Missoula, but the best one is in helena which is the highway patrol training coarse, its pretty sweet.
