What is up everyone? It has been forever since I checked this forum. All is good here, car is up on jack stands awaiting a new V-band clamp since my DP flange took a **** and I had to weld a new one on. BTW does anyone have another undercarriage exhst hanger rod that bolts to the frame rail? Matt gave me one but I need one more...it is just a little hook for the rubber hanger to loop around to support the mid-pipe from swinging.
MAN I am really thinking about buying some 17'' RE-Amemiya AW-7 wheels. My SSR's are great but I will need more rubber in the back and am sick of 16'' wheels.
MATT: Any update on your Auto-X boo-boo? I hope it is just the o-ring bro.
Jew Kyle: I will take those bushings off of you come this NOV.
Kyle: What brand of coilover did you go with again? (I always forget)

Sounds good sean. nice to see some activity here again. the other kyle has bc racing coilovers and they are the ****. to bad you havent had a ride yet. ill be in the new house this month. ill have to have you guys over for a winter bbq or somethin

Negative on that Murray. Havent got anything torn apart on my car yet. But I did order a new o ring set, an fd oil pressure regulator, and a thermal bypass pellet for the front bolt. Said to be here this friday and hopefully is warm enough this sunday to get it pulled apart and find out what the real deal is. I just hope i didnt ruin any rotor bearings or some ****. Apart from the radiator and fan shroud i want to get. Id like to go with some coilovers like kyle has and some new wheels. Need....wider.....wheels...and....tires...not....e nough....traction. I was thinkin about gettin the Enkei RPF1s in 8s and 9s. should be suffecient.

Update on my stuff biznatches.
Found out that my engine has the early front casting. Soo the guy that built it and who I got it from hadnt known of the casting issue or did and didnt pay enough attention when assebling the engine. But it had the later style gasket, teflon o ring and rubber o ring. So I had ordered a early style gasket, rubber o ring fd oil pressure regulator. I shimmed the front cover and threw it back together carefully still paranoid about the o ring and gasket in place. ha ha but I trust my work. Had another stock oil pan with a different style baffle that looked more effecient and ended up putting that on too. As of right now the rtv is gonna cure for 24 hrs. Then have to put the radiator back in and refill with fluids and hope for the best. Damn mutt engines built by other people. I did find some shavings in the oil but I did notice that it looked like the front counterweight had lightly contacted the front cover which caused the aluminum shavings in the pan. So Im not too sure if thats a good thing that could also be a thing of front cover differences. At least it wasnt bearing metal or so I hope. In my discovery Im not totally sure what series my engine is now. Could be s4 or could be s5 or just mixed and matched which is totally understandable and possible. I knew I couldnt end up with 2 low oil pressure engines in a row. I just hope this solves the oil pressure me (currently) and murray (prior) have been fighting. ha ha

I will update again when its back together and running.

Another UPDATE!
So I ended up tearing down my engine again mainly to check the front cover gasket and o ring. Those turned out just fine. But I dug deeper and pulled my oil pump and checked the e shaft spacer, needle bearing and front stationary gear. There wasnt really anything left of the needle bearing and the spacer was heated and the needle bearing on the front of the stationary gear was way over heated and cracked. So I ened up replacing all of that good stuff. And as for the oil pump, it was fantastically siezed up so thats why I wasnt getting any pressure after the first repair above. After that damn pump which I also replaced I put everything back together that I could with rtv left for a few hours to let the rtv cure up. Came back and put the rest together let it all set for a little longer. Then I filled the oil, primed the system once... notta but maybe 10psi, second prime saw 40psi. After the oil system priming I filled the coolant, restabbed the cas, started the car to burp the coolant system and watched my oil pressure gauge peg past 100psi. After the coolant system was burped and car was warmed up it was idling with 40-50 psi and at 3k the gauge was reading 80-90 psi. So I have plenty of oil pressure now. All I have left to do now before I drive it is to hook up my lap top and hit timing lock and set my timing, unlock timing and drive it. I would have done it tonight but my laptop when I took it I left it when I let the rtv dry and it died. So I might do it on my lunch tomorrow and take it for a drive.
In all I lost the first battle with the rotary. But this time I succeded in this latest battle. The war is never over with the rotary.
But anyways after my long story what is anyone else up to? Update us.

XD i've been fighting with my coolant system lately.. i had the coolant bypass hose (or whatever) blow, replaced it, and ever since i have to burp my coolant system a lot. a week to 3 weeks and the buzzer will come on untill the system pressurizes. it's so annoying.. i think the new hose isn't clamped all the way and is letting air in, or i've got a bad seal somewhere and it's slowly sucking air in. But last time it didn't do it for like 2 months after we pulled the cap off while it was still hot and boiled some coolant out, then pulled the bleeder plug and didn't even have to add coolant. i dunno what's wrong though, so annoying.
