Yeah, I was at the shop last night when you were there, I was the short guy wearing the DETROIT shirt. My car is the light blue/silver FC that was on the rack. We put a 1/2 bridge Cosmo RE motor in it that should be 400-500hp when its all done.

I mean, THERE IS A NEON IN THAT SHOP!!! haha Hey damiansoul, is your car the red FD infront of toms shop? he was telling me about the bridge port and showing me how it was done and stuff yesterday, pretty awsome if thats yours.
As Tina, Eliza's sister, says, "Tommy, you're lying again!" LoL At least, we can't call him Father Time, cuz that's my new handle. Candy, we were trying to get you an FD by horse trading and dealing, but the other ends always faded. Good luck with TX!

BTW - I just got sideswiped on a FD on an eBay auction in the last 30 seconds, so I don't get to play FD with my RE motor just yet. Looking at a R1 with a blown motor. We'll see what happens.

Happy Birthday, Tommy-boy! Fiorddddddd-hooooooooo!

Im so excited, pretty stressed but excited. I guess the guy has a cracked rim and the rim is discontinued so he has a diff rim on it (i get to roll back to town ghetto style lol) but he is trying to find someone with the rim still and he'll send it to my house. I'll be waiting in the airport for like 2 hours, but airports are fun so I think i'll be ok. Besides that I'll be back sat night. I have so much to do b4 I go out there its making my head spin.

We all should throw down a 7 meet sometime soon and get to know all of the 7 owners here in NM.

7 meet

That sound like a good idea to me. New Mexico's own little 7 stock. I was thinking maybe sometime in May would be nice. Perhaps get a little BBQ action going on. Great idea I will follow it up and see what can be arranged.

"DevilGrabbit", hey nice name. Is there a "GodGrabbit" and a "JesusGrabbit" too, lol? The BBQ actions sounds great. I'm getting a new ceramic coated charcoal grill. It's going to be an interesting summer. The last time we got something together we had such a good time...apart from the police thing. Seeing all those 7's going down Montgomerey was great.

Well guys, Im back from dallas. And im still rx7-less. Went out there really excited and the second I drove the thing I knew I wasnt going to buy it. It has had body work on all 4 corners of the car (you can see the DA marks in the bondo under the paint) and still needs more body work ontop of that, the door panals were falling apart, you had to slam the drivers side door to get it to shut (indicating the possibility the body was a little crooked) on top of that when I drove it the rear end was making a horrible clunking noise. The engine tranny and turbos were immaculate, ran wonderful. Its just the rest of the car that I couldnt deal with. He showed me 2 rims he had cracked, one just from driving? and the other one he got in a slight accident and spun out and hit a curb. Thats not exactly something that makes me want to buy the car, expecially in a unibody. I was really excited and now it really sucks to be back in albuquerque -800 dollars in my pocket with out a car still. Im going to look at a 98 camaro z28 tonight (not as cool, but only has 57k miles, and origional owner!) so we'll see what happens. Im just really upset the guy didnt tell me about the clunking in the rear end BEFORE i flew all the way out to texas. I mean when you sell your car, you try to hide small things, like a cracked dash, or a little scratch on the car, but not a friggin herendus*sp* clunking in the rear end!!!! oh well

Wow, that really really sucks. Thats no reason to buy a Camaro though!!!! What kind of money were you looking to spend on the FD? I was looking around on autotrader.com last night and saw all kinds of 93-95 FDs with low milage and in really good shape, some of them were even at dealerships. You should find one at a dealership that has info on inspections and carfax reports and stuff like that. Tom, Tim, Andy, Steven, and myself just came back from Abilene, Texas with Andys' 88 Turbo that he got from a dealer and that thing is immaculate. Don't go to the darkside yet. Keep your head up, we'll help you find a good one.

I have 10k.. i HAD 11k but the trip cost me about 800 dollars to go out to tx for no reason and back. so I just dont think I can find a FD in good shape w/ low mileage for 10k.. and Im not really a big fan of any other rx7 except for the fd (im a girl I have to have the looks along w/ the speed )

Sorry it did not work out.

Mine is still not sold -- until the $$ is my hands.
It is not for $10K, but I can have that new shop in ABQ check it out & see what they think.

check it out. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=418600

It is not what you described in Dallas.

Nice FD

Candy if you can come up w/ the extra money I would look into getting smacho's 7. The black rims are a little much for me personallly, but I would still drive her Dont't go to the dark side unless you really feel you have to. As rxonfire said there are alot of good deals to be had ( just ask chucky ) Oh and you can find some really sexy seconds out there too. Tim's tri-point wide body is an example. Don't give up the fight yet

Id be able to give you 11k for it, thats literally every last penny I have. Im sure you'll find someone who will give you more for it, but if you ever decide to let it go for 11k, lol thats about all I can offer

Sry to hear the bad news, but like everyone else said, don't give up yet...and a camaro =(. I found my car for 10,500...granted it had engine problems, but that won't necessarily be the case (it wasn't advertised with worn o-rings). Have patience and keep looking. You won't regret purchasing an FD after you get behind the wheel!

Man I haven't been on this forum for so long. I haven't been around for a while...school's kicking my ***. But now it's pretty much over! Fortunately, the warm weather is returning so that means we all have to organize a meet for all of us like we did in the Fall. There were quite a few of us out there and I know there are more of us out here that can meet up. So we'll all organize this as soon as summer officially arrives. Oh and the drag strip is now open for night racing, so maybe we can have a group of rotaries go there and do some runs on a saturday night!

If you do not like black rims, I have an extra set of (4) rims that are pure stock ... with Nokanon (from Finland and they spell things funny there) snow tires.

I also just mounted new tires last week. But, that all moves the price in the wrong direction. I'll try to get down to the RX shop in North ABQ -- maybe Friday afternoon ... so the car is not a mystery.

the camaro was perfect (i know none of you care lol) but it only had 58k miles, was owned by an old guy who babied the hell out of it (he started to get nervous when I test drove it and was getting on it a little bit haha). Its deffinitly an option. I'll need to find a FD soon in my price range because my 91 stealth is barely hanging in there and I cant be out of a car. Thank you all for you support keep an eye out for a FD for me
