Ref and Sync

I'll be wiring up the M4 soon but was wondering on which sensor was the Ref and Sync for the timing?
Can anyone help

in general terms REF is usually Ne ( mazda )
( 12 or 24 tooth )



and sync is known as G ( mazda ) or HOME ( others )
( single or two tooth )

Ok cheers, so on the motor REW the lower sensor is sync and the upper sensor is ref I presume?
