Can anyone recommend the motec m4 pro cause i can pick one up off a mate cheap cause he's getting the 800.

is it any good for the fds? and how much work will it be to install???

the m4 is an amazing ECU
it only has 4 injector outputs though
look it up on motec.com

 

It would be a great ecu if you can grab it. Very capable, but has limited outputs, so if you plan on using the ecu to run a bunch of aux stuff, you would need an ignition expander to free up some outputs. Install is pretty straight forward if you are familiar with wiring, no more difficult than wiring in any other standalone.
