GSL-SEs had a 13B EFI. The SE denotes that it is EFI 13B.
Good to know, thanks ^^ He just replaced the original engine with the same.

nice GSL-SE... i put 250K on my GSL and loved it. light-footed. it sure seems like there's a bunch of interesting RX7s sprouting in Wisconsin.

a couple of years ago we had a deal at our place out in the countryside... lots of acreage to hang out, show off whatcha got and benchrace... i would like to do it again this summer assuming i can slide it by my FD-owning wife.

21 miles south of Elkhart Lake. 93 cows across the road, i am always worried about a stampede.

40+degrees tomorrow. wow. i will be going to Beyond Redline tuesday and maybe post some pics. their new EDDY CURRENT DynoJet is up and running.

very cool.

Thanks It took me a while to find the Rx-7 that I wanted, but she was worth the wait. Now if I can only talk my Aunt into selling me her 1978 that was the 256th one ever made. Yeah right...hehe. I hope she holds on to that gem.

She has 116K on the ticker. I will get some more pictures up soon.

Wow, only 116 and a new powerplant at ~56? Shoot. That just doesn't sound right, unless the car sat for a very long time.

Yeah..The previous owner had it sitting garaged for the better part of 11 years. I would imagine that takes a horrid toll on a car that should at least be started once a week >.< Luckily for me, she is now in great running shape

Yeah... I haven't started my FB in a few months, but she's got STABIL and MMO in the tank and all through the system.

...I should probably get a new key for my storage locker so I can get into it and get the car out, huh?

Yeah get that baby out and let her run for a bit.

Offtopic stupid question for you guys..

I have one of those hardtop sunroof pieces for my 7. Can I just order the glass version and replace it, or are there two completely different sunroof types that do not mix and match?

If you've got the money, anything is possible.

Personally, I'm content with the regular sunroof.

I just joined this forum and I'm in the La Crosse Area. I have an 82 RX-7 that needs some body work (not that extensive, but there are areas that would need to be replaced) and an OK paint job. Oh, and air. I could go on, but I really want to save her, had her since 1988 and I've dragged her all over. Runs great, just got a new clutch, 134,000 miles on it.

Talked to someone locally and their price quote for JUST a paint job was five figures. I need someting WAY more affordable.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I also posted on the first-gen part of the forum, and they sent me here.

I am certainly content with the hard-top sunroof. I was basically wondering if it was an easy switch-out to the glass version or whether is was just a completely different setup. I would not mind getting a glass switch-out if it is just as easy as switching her out, but anything more than that I am not really worried about it ^^

Does anyone here know how to take care of a very small rust area where paint chipped? I have never de-rusted anything and I have a dime-sized little rust area next to the sunroof edge on top of the car. I would not mind doing something about it at some point. I don't have the money to get a brand new paint job in the near future, so I want to try and take care of that little spot before it decides to buy more real-estate m(O.o)m on top of my car hehe.

The glass version of the sunroof is just that a glass version of the same panel-they are two separate panels-one being glass and one being steel. You can try to find somebody selling the glass panel on here. For the rust spot you can carefully sand the rust and then use a rust remover gel being careful not to get the gel on any larger area than the rust. If you dont transform the rust I'm afraid its just gonna come back. Then touch up carefully with a brush and color match paint. Thats the simplest way to do it without alot of expense. Welcome to the board and nice SE.

Don't you have a glass one, though? Your bias upsets me.

im dissapointed, seems im in the middle of everyone but nowhere near anyone.
i know for a fact there are at least 3-4 fc's that i have seen between delafield and oconomowoc.
bout beginning or march i saw a silver fc with s4 tails in the middle of oconomowoc
few months before that i saw another silver fc (super clean not sure if it was the same one bc it was dark) in middle of downtown delafield.
and about a year ago i saw a blue fc driving down sawyer road in oconomowoc area, i think the car had yellow fogs.
also a guy who owns a red fc in delafield right off of nagawaukee lake, had it out as a lawn ornament most of summer and fall, winter came and it dissapeared.

...oh well

I'm also in nowhere.

An hour from Appleton, an hour from Green Bay, an hour from Stevens Point... but don't worry, once I get my FB running.... and after I fix my DD, things will change.

*gets on soap box*

This is a new day for 'Sconies all over the world.

My co-worker drives up to Appleton every weekend in his Rx-8 to see his fiance. You are not to terribly far from us Madisonites hehe. I plan on getting my baby out and around WI this Summer if I can manage to find the spare time ^^

Big *** ******* intercooler. Aeromitve rrfpr. Msd 2225 efi fuel pump. 1/2 inch return line. The kit its for sale. 1,200 for everything you need or a nice semi rust free fb!!!! Hit me up if yah gots one!!!!Would consider letting the whole car go for 2,000 or a nice fb. Small rust issue where one of the rear links mounts to pan. I am not a body man but someone who is could fix it in a weekend!!!!

What's wrong with the car?

You seem like you want to get rid of it.

The rust issue on the rear link that mounts to frame pan is out of my league for the repair. I personally dont care if i sell it or not. I will jsut wait a few months and buy a rust free shell from down south. The rest of the car is nice. But if i would take it to a shop to have the underside repaired it would cost more than a new roller i am sure. Now for the guy who can fix this stuff it wont cost anything but time understand :P

I'm sure.

Who prepped your carb? I've got a FB with under 50,000 on it and I thought about a 13BT swap, but boosting what I've got has come to mind as of late.
